What I find interesting about Bill Murray is that he's known to be a dick on sets, but as a neighbor, he's just fantastic. He lives/lived (unsure if he's moved by now) near where I used to and was a regular part of the community. Everyone liked him because he was a normal, friendly guy. Maybe it's the whole Hollywood deal he hates? That's what I always thought... maybe it is just simply "Hollywood".

The "fitness industry" (lol) can be fun at times until you realize that it is 90 % drama and "fitness" means getting as buff as possible in your early twenties and thinking lowly of almost everybody else. "Almost" because there still are lots of "bros". It may be the only "industry" that is full of bros in 2023. Back in the 2000’s the fitness industry got rocked when a former musher Olympus and his fitness model wife got arrested on murder charges, they killed their personal assistant in a drugged up haze. And I remember reading an editorial that declared “I’m not surprised theirs happened. I’m surprised it took this long.” Do you remember who that was? I looked it up, but the only cases I found were those of Sally McNeil and Bertil Fox (who was pardoned just last August).

The Brady Bunch- Desipite being extremely popular and perhaps the patriarch of America’s most popular family of its time, Robert Reed hated being on the show and caused problems with the writing staff (even though he loved his cast mates) Which reminds me...TINA LOUISE. Just Tina Louise. It's so ironic to me that the last actor alive from Gilligan's Island's main cast is the one who wanted the least to do with it .

Isn't Max Baer kind of like that with the Beverly Hillbillies? I don't think Julie Kavner thinks as much of Rhoda (not hate, though) as she does that little show she's on.

I would love for them to retcon one more day. It was such a betrayal of Peter's character and stupid. There were so many better ways to make Peter the one the editors grew up with. One more day is definitely the worse of the two. They kinda did... OMD was a big conspiracy thing and it's over and done with... and MJ and Peter got to ride off into the sunset happily together again.... I think Spencer's run kind of worked too well...like it literally gives you every excuse to never read Spider-Man again based on what happens -Every villain ever teamed up and couldn't break Spidey physically or mentally -Gwen's memory and legacy was "purified" again -Norman was cured of all sins and his and Harry's true origins are revealed -Harry's unnecessary return is undone, and his legendary death issue counts in continuity again -It was hinted Peter was going to propose to MJ several times -As you say, OMD is revealed to have been a big play by the devil to undo his own downfall (at the hands of a 616 variant of Mayday Parker) -Peter and MJ stay together at the end with Doc Strange proclaiming they are 'unbreakable', and you can assume they got married, had the kid, beat the devil and saved the world. How do you realistically just carry onward after that? So yeah the 'hard reset' with the current run just comes across as spiteful, insincere and a desperate attempt to keep the story going well past the point of relevancy. This isn't new for Marvel, Brand New Day struggled to find it's footing with Spider-Girl still going on at the time giving us Peter with his happy ending, so they had to cancel that eventually, and then when Slott peaked with Big Time and Superior, the only other story he wrote after which the fans were on board with was the pro-marriage Renew Your Vows, and the continuation of that overshadowed the last few years of Slott's run.

OMD was done better by the MCU. That is all.

OMD was done better by the MCU. That is all. And 'down on his luck, bum Peter' was done better by an oscar-winning animated movie

We all love wrestling, but many of us find the backstage drama more interesting. What other industries do you follow that the backstage drama and news? I’m always quite amused when I come across an interesting video on Billy Mitchell and gaming stuff, but not a huge follower. That Vic Mignona thread was eye opening for all the things people seem to know about voice actors and their personal lives and the weird stories people don’t forget. I think the most amusing, is going on YouTube and reading the comment sections about the local news and the outrage when one news anchor jumps ship or is fired. I’m like “how did these people know what happened the 4 am news reporter for my local news affiliate??” I’m actually really surprised Under Pressure: The Making of The Abyss hasn’t come up yet. This is James Cameron being James Cameron in 1988 and everything that came with it. The movie rocks, but once you know the story behind it… wow. You know it’s bad when Ed Harris actually has a clause in any interview agreement he signs that this is a taboo subject to this day.

Highly successful musicians and bands intrigue the hell out of me. It just seems like the script always goes like this: Be incredibly talented, struggle for a bit, hit huge, piss off bandmates/friends, vow never to work together/wish death upon each other, reunite. The problem Guns N'Roses faced trying to get signed was, everyone went, "Yep. They'll be the biggest band in the world, but they won't live to see it and I don't want them dying on my watch". Amazingly, they're all still alive in 2023. ALL of them, which with Guns covers like 30 people now. As far as your comment goes, Joe Perry once said of Aerosmith, fresh off their two best albums, they shat out a stinker. "We used to be musicians who dabbled with drugs. By Draw the Line, we were drug addicts who dabbled with music" And now, through several break ups and getting back together, they kicked Joey Kramer out after 50 years!!!! Because Steven Tyler never was that fond of his drumming. Imagine being closing in on 80 and going, "You know what...I never did like you. You're out"

He has 3 movies worth seeing then a bunch of crap.

As World War One was mentioned I’ll add the sinking of the titanic and I’ve read most of the both American and British inquiries which are fascinating to read, and there is also the stuff around the Californian and what ship its crew actually saw that night. It’s amazing the fact there were 700 survivors and yet many details about the sinking are conflicting and the fact it didn’t sink in one piece. Don't know if you've been before, but if you ever find yourself in Belfast, the Titanic Experience museum is f***ing fantastic. It covers all of this and you'd be in there all day.
