Who's "homegrown" talent in TNA? Like someone said it's a perception game. Here's my personal list. Some people might not agree with demanding that indy guys be re-gimmicked before counting as TNA guys. But then again I've given some leeway for WWE midcarders.
I count 8 guys out of I think 30-something who don't strike me as homegrown.
ABYSS - homegrown.
AJ STYLES - homegrown.
ALEX SHELLEY - made his name in ROH, but repackaged enough to be effectively homegrown.
AUSTIN STARR - N/A
CHRIS SABIN - homegrown.
CHRISTIAN CAGE - WWE midcarder, but repackaged enough to count as homegrown.
ERIC YOUNG - home-something.
FALLEN ANGEL - made his name in ROH, but repackaged enough to be considered homegrown.
STORM & HARRIS - basically homegrown.
LAX - Made their names elsewhere, but repackaged enough to be considered homegrown.
SEROTONIN - repackaged enough to be considered homegrown.
JAY LETHAL - made his name in the indies, but as 'Black Machismo' can be considered homegrown.
JEFF JARRETT - owns the damn company. if he's not homegrown who is?
*KURT ANGLE - big name in WWE; still using the same gimmick. not homegrown.
LANCE HOYT - homegrown.
PETEY WILLIAMS - homegrown.
*RHINO - still using the same damn gimmick as in WWE and ECW. not homegrown.
ROBERT ROODE - homegrown.
RON KILLINGS - homegrown.
*SCOTT STEINER - big name in WWE/WCW; still using the same gimmick. not homegrown.
*SAMOA JOE - made his name in ROH. still using the same old gimmick. basically an indie guy on TNA TV, not a TNA guy.
SENSHI - made a name in the indies, but repackaged enough to be homegrown.
*SHANE DOUGLAS - big name elsewhere; still same gimmick; not homegrown.
SHARK BOY - homegrown.
*SONJAY DUTT - made his name in the indies. still using the same old gimmick. basically an indie guy on TNA TV, not a TNA guy.
*STING - not homegrown.
TOMKO - small enough in WWE and reworked enough in TNA to count as homegrown.
*TEAM 3D - not homegrown.
VKM - tossup.
Damn that's a deep roster.
Now, out of those eight, how many are in one of the title scenes? Of the other couple dozen, how many are in one of the title scenes?
