So I'm sitting here trying to watch this show right now...
15 minutes in and so far the show has featured and in ring promo with two ex WCW guys and two ex WWF guys...
then we get a backstage promo with two ex WWE guys...
next up...
Four more ex-WWF guys...
Main Event? One old WCW guy is in it...
oh the show came back on...
Raven...ex WCW guy...
Christy Hemme and more Dudleys...ex WWE people...
20 minutes in and we get Lance Hoyt...finally a TNA guy...
I don't get it.

Welcome to the riddle that is TNA. For some reason, instead of pushing their homegrown talent, which is, for the most part, solid at worst, they insist on pushing old WWE/WCW castoffs, for the most part. No one quite knows why.

Have the talent to be the most entertaining wrestling company in America, and just don't have a clue how to do it.
It's really sad, because I wish there was more good wrestling available. They should be putting on phenomenal shows, and just don't.

Raven is an ex-WCW guy? Oh, I remember the classic battles between him and Hardcore Hak!

Well if you stopped watching at 20 minutes into the show you'll miss seeing LAX and Samoa Joe wrestle.
Perhaps you should, I don't know, watch the entire show?
By the way, I could watch a WWE show and be like, Chris Benoit? Booker T? Finlay? Mysterio?
What's with all these WCW guys? Why don't they push WWE guys?

I don't get why people constantly need to bash things they don't understand to people that enjoy said things. To me, that makes less sense than, for example, using your company's starpower to get over. Do you even know how wrestling works? You use the established names to establish more names.

Ummm.... They do push WWE guys, that's the majority of who they push, HOMEGROWN TALENT. I know that. I was making a point. Swarm watched 20 minutes of an hour show and made a general statement that everybody are supposedly ex-WWE or ex-WCW guys. Guess what? They're all TNA guys now and Samoa Joe is in the main event. And WWE pushes homegrown 'talent?' If that's what you want to call it.....

What is homegrown,anyway?
Jeff Jarrett, BG James, & Ron Killings were involved with TNA since the beginning. Are they considered rejects still, even though they've been involved with almost all of the span of TNA?

Well at least Joe won. Bad show. Too many ex-WWF and WCW guys. I was hoping to see Roode, Williams, Sabin, Shelley, Styles and Joe wrestle and I got to see one of them.
Good thing they made room for Hector Guerrero though because that sells PPV's.

I have my share of gripes about TNA, but using former WWE and WCW guys isn't one of them. It's not like TNA is taking these guys after they are long used up, similar to how WCW used to do it in the mid 90's. Many of the ex WWE guys that you see never really got to breka through in WWE, so now they are getting a second chance in TNA where they are pushed a little better. Sure some of them like 3D probably are past their prime, but guys like Christian are not past their prime.

Agreed, but at the same time a lot of the guys that could be used very well that TNA gave big TV exposure to (Joe, The X-Division) ARE being pushed aside for the ex-WWE/WCW/ECW guys at times.

I like CC, Tomko...Rhino...but the Steiners, Sting, Dudley's, Kip Kames, Hemme and those two ex WWE guys, all on one hour show...
too much imo.

Are they considered rejects still, even though they've been involved with almost all of the span of TNA? i only consider Jarrett a reject because he has never belonged ANYWHERE near the main-event. BG i couldn't see as a WWE reject being that he was in one of the most over tag-teams for its time. no rejection there. and Killings barely even got a chance in the WWE, so i certainly see him as a TNA talent. well.. not so much anymore. poor guy.

This has been my ongoing frustration with TNA. People have accused me of just constantly bashing the promotion and never giving it a chance. I ordered several PPVs, watched the show regularly, and even went to a live event.
Like someone said earlier, they have the potential to be phenomenal, but they're barely watchable.
On a somewhat related note, I think Juggalo/Hulkamaniac would think anything non-WWE sucks.
