The basic gist of your arguement Randy does steroids- wrong. Rey does steroids- still wrong but a little less wrong because he's a nice guy. You don't think that is double standards? It doesn't matter who's a hard worker, who's not, who's over, who's not. As far as the wellness policy goes all wrestlers should be equal in that respect. No wrestler "deserves" to get away with doing steroids more than anyone else. It's thinking like that that possibly convinced Benoit it was okay to do was many steroids as possible because "he'd earned it" And look how that turned out. He's only commenting in reference to how the game is actually played. He even said it's stupid and he doesn't agree with it, yet that's how it works out. In the WWEs warped sense of what the rules are, certain wrestlers are protected. All of them other than Orton actually earned that protected position. Problem is once you start agreeing that some wrestlers have earned the right to "protected positions" you're as bad as wwe. It's one thing to say 'be realistic, of course some wrestlers can get out of it" it's another thing to defend it, like he is.

No mannequin I know of can throw a beautiful dropkick like Orton though! Wrong. Hardcore Holly can, but that doesn't mean I want to watch him, either.

Evidently, there are no Marines, or former Marines on this board. Dishonorable discharge is something we take seriously. Very seriously. That's fine. I don't expect you to understand. But, that's why I think he's a bad human being. The rest is just confirmation that he's nobody I want to know. I was just gonna bring that up. (Squid Vet here)

I'm not an Orton fan. His gimmick isn't all that great, his mic skills are average, his werstling ability is avearge, and most of all, it sounds like he's a total douchebag as a human being.

Vince Mcmahon pays him. If he wants to pay a hotel trashing, steroid using, fan abusing douche. Than it's his prerogative. For those of us who doesn't believe he is all that talented, that's just something that makes us hate the guy much more. I never liked Axl Rose (for those under 20, the lead singer of Guns and Roses......again, for those under 20, a fairly popular band in the 80's) that much, but at least the guy had enough talent to make me forget that he was a douche. Conversely, I was never a huge DDP fan, but by all accounts he was a decent person which made him more tolerable to me.

It's one thing to say 'be realistic, of course some wrestlers can get out of it" it's another thing to defend it, like he is. When did I ever defend it? I specifically said it was unfair, hypocritical, and incredibly stupid. All I said is that Rey "earned" (note the quotes) it. In other words, there are "reasons" that he has the semi-protected status that he has: Ability to draw, merch sales, quality of matches, etc. Simply put, I can see why Vince "protects" Rey, as subjecting him to the same punishments as your average wrestler could have a significant impact on the company's bottom line. Again, I don't like it, but I can see why Vince does it. And I'll ask for the billionth time: What has Randy done to deserve the same status as Rey? He's not a money draw, he's average at best in the ring (though I will say he has improved considerably), and I don't see a hell of a lot of kids running up to the booths to buy RKO t-shirts. Vince protects Randy because he's one of Vince's pet projects, and Randy has all the right connections. Randy's absence for 30 (or 60) days wouldn't have much (if any) impact on the company's bottom line at all. In fact, I doubt most casual fans would even notice that he was gone.
