Should there be an all-purpose thread in (W)rest of Wrestling for #SpeakingOut? No. Doing so would murky the waters of these allegations, each of which needs to be dealt with as an individual and serious matter.

Is the TCW mentioned in teh first post Traditional CHampionship Wrestling? I am assuming no. No, it's Total Championship Wrestling out of Austin.

Okay, so being a long-time poster on FAN who is a woman, I have experienced a few members act creepy towards me. I don't like talking about this because I feel very uncomfortable. One of my female friends who used to post on FAN experienced the same with a poster. I'm going to guess other female members here have had the same happen. I am sorry this has happened. I encourage you and any others who have dealt with this to come to me in private via PM to alert me to anything of this nature you feel is inappropriate. While we have tried our best to make this place as safe as possible, I am not naive and know that we have not done enough on that front. I do not want anyone to be afraid of posting here because of the actions of other posters.

These took place weeks ago on Twitter, but given what's going on - and I don't believe they were covered here - I felt they need to be mentioned as well. The first is in regards to Jordynne Grace and Brysin Scott bringing forth texts and online testimony against Texas promoter/trainer John Peterson, aka Mr. B. After replying to Scott, Grace was threatened by Peterson's son (Ryan Staples), who attempted to blackmail her in public. It turned out to be a "I'll tell everyone you slept around with people back then" threat. I will not embed the Grace tweet as the Scott tweet it replies to has a bunch of swearing embedded: Scott's tweet (with several skeevy phone texts included): Grace's tweet in reply: twitter.com/JordynneGrace/status/1265825478230802433TCW's twitter account was deleted shortly thereafter. Peterson's son has since deleted all of his posts on the matter and posted apologizing for defending his father, but not for attempting to blackmail Grace. ----- About a month and a half ago, Alex/Queen of the Ring (who was part of the Wrestling With Wregret Youtube channel for a time) posted this regarding Meredith Belle: Belle would admit she was drunk, apologized to Alex but completely denied the incident ever happened.

Do NOT post the tweet with NSFW material from the Twitter account in the OP. Go there to read/view it.

Is there proof of this? I feel like this thing is rolling at such a pace now where I could make a fake Twitter account, write up an accusation on the notes app, and it would gain traction. Not at all saying that every person is lying, and there's certainly proof in some cases, but there's other cases where the evidence is lacking. As mentioned several times in the thread already, the Twitter account in the OP is posting texts and images, including NSFW stuff.

Edited the title so readers know we're discussing the Texas arm of USWA here, not the main Memphis-area promotion.
The USWA trying to replace World Class really felt like more of the same, to me. And that wasn't a good thing by that point.

I deleted several posts linking someone who has zero involvement to all of this as a "joke".
Don't do that.

Do the leg work if you're interested, no need to go into it here This whole thread is so incredibly vague it serves no purpose, as a warning to others, or anything else. All we know is essentially "someone did something that isn't approved of, and is banned, so let that information be a warning to ya." How can it be, when the information wasn't even provided anywhere in the thread to begin with? Go do some research or even visit the Starr thread I mentioned in the OP. Do not post in this thread again.

Come to think of it like 90% of his posts pertained to women and women’s wrestling, That is not and should not be an indictment against anyone. Lots of posters here are bigger fans of the women and their work than of the guys. Nothing at all wrong with that. It's the line-crossing that's the problem.

Yeah....Lawler man, just Lawler. If half the stories I have heard are true Lawler is nothing compared to Ken Wayne,Jamie Dundee,Brian Lawler and a few others. Oh can't forget Chris Champion and Billy Joe Travis. 1. The Memphis and Ark-La-Tex area territories were havens for predators, all the way to the top of the card, and not just a small handful of people. 2. This thread needs to stay on-topic, please. Cornette, not Lawler.

Well this has been quite a couple days hasnt it? As someone involved in both the comics industry and the wrestling business, it's been...difficult to see both of my passions on complete fire. But it's needed. Sexual allegations were never the main thrust of my occasional "wrestling needs to die" comments but they've always been a part of it. There's so much about this thing I love so much that I really, really hate.

Since his name is being brought up publicly by promotions (who are banning him from attending their shows due to his actions toward female talent) and he has ties to us, I don't want to let this get lost in the Starr thread - Yesterday, when we were made aware of the situation regarding this FAN member, we opted to initiate an immediate ban.
What's going on right now needs to serve as something of a wake-up call for fans, not just the actual wrestlers - if you're engaging in this sort of stuff online or at shows, you are not welcome here. We've often taken a "what happens off the boards stays off the boards" approach, but not on this.

I'm moving this to Wrest since the subject of the accusations is not WWE-related.

So, with the rule about Cornette threads in (w)rest, would that also apply to talking about the most recent allegations, or purely his opinions/podcasts? Wanted to check before posting. News about him is fine.

Normally we do not allow embedded tweets with the F word. I'm allowing this one. But please don't do it again. Thanks.

It's not wrong in the eyes of the law but morally what he did was messed up. Do you not see how the power dynamic is messed up here? Well this is probabky gonna be my last post in the thread as I don't want to come across as a victim shamer. It's absolutely going to be your last post in not only this thread but any of the other ones dealing with this topic.
