I don't want to make it seem like I'm blaming him for it. Not his fault he was picked for a role he was not only not ready for but that even the best wrestler on the planet would have been screwed to try to get over. It's just the idea that a major promotion would get Hogan to hint at getting help from "the Ultimate surprise" and giving them that. The guy never had a chance and it sucks that WCW chose to take it all out on him. Anyone with half a brain could see that this wouldn't ever get over. Sad that he took his own life. Was promised the world and had no idea there was never any intention to make good on it. He was the patsy of a nonsensical bait and switch to pop a PPV buyrate for a month.

There can be only one! For Vladimir, Sid was the main event. For Sid, Vladimir was the main event.

I hope this ends with Bruce coming in to take down Seth for the honour of the Hart family and finally getting the WWE run he's spent his life bitter about never getting.
EDIT: I am satisfied with an absolutely ludicrous idea involving the Hart family being my 4000th post.

What the hell were they thinking? Even Mean Gene is thinking "f*** this". Mean Gene is always out to sell whatever you want him to sell but he's not selling the f***ing Renegade. It's just ridiculous that WCW spent so much time promoting that the Ultimate Warrior was coming when they knew full well he wasn't going to be there. Instead they pick a random WCW Saturday Night opening match Powerplant jobber and dress him up in a similar getup, give him a name with no thought put into it and try to pass it off as the real thing. People are going to notice. There's a lot to say about the Ultimate Warrior as a talent in the ring but no matter how sloppy and basic a lot of his work was, he was a star. His offense was all he needed for what his gimmick was and almost enhanced it. He had a unique charisma that made it easy to really believe that he was a complete madman completely on the edge. This guy. Does not. It would be like if Bret had resolved his contract issues with Vince in 97 and WCW dressed Jerry Flynn in pink and black tights and called him The Gunman. Just doesn't work.

Too many of them make the mark mistake of paying the wrestlers as opposed to running off with all the money at intermission. How are you supposed to keep promoting shows if you're just handing off all your profits to these guys like that?

Pretty sure The Shockmaster Gimmick failed the second the pyro went off... Would it have really been all that great of a gimmick if it had succeeded? Certainly we wouldn't have the hilarious clip to laugh at until the end of time, but I'd argue Ole's pathetic "You're the ruler of the world?! Why don't you rule me?! You wanna piece of me" is the promo equivalent to falling through the wall, so the gimmick was DOA even if he had walked in like he was supposed to.

I don't see anyone high profile being cast in this. It'll be a straight to DVD low-budget film starring people like Brian Austin Green and Tara Reid. Lou Diamond Phillips IS Vince McMahon

Now did DDP do anything else worth a mention in TNA besides that Raven/Erik Watts thing? I honestly can't remember, but that three way storyline with the gangbang backstory was proper great - and to think it wasn't even Ruce's creation.

And Daniel Puder in the Royal Rumble 2005. Can't put all that on Holly because Eddy & Benoit were super stiffing the kid also. Basically a mugging by some of the locker room leaders for almost breaking Kurt Angle's arm and being cocky over it. Which itself was the result of WWE deciding to have Angle shoot on the Tough Enough guys and being shocked when it didn't go the way it would have if they had just booked an angle.

Only thing with that is I think one of the Smoking Gunns got injured because they were replaced in the tournament by Bob Holly/123 Kid. I've never understood this because both Gunns are in the Rumble.

Scotty 2 Hotty seems like a natural as a great coach. Although he loves to dance and have fun, when it comes to the foundations of wrestling THERE'S NO FOOLIN AROUND! THERE'S NO FOOLIN AROUND! THERE'S NO THERE'S NO THERE'S NO THERE'S NO that was interesting.

WCW in 1999 and 2000 entertained me more than WWF did at the time. Every time I'd try to watch Raw in that period, I'd either see Stephanie slapping somebody or Rikishi's ass. It got better a couple years later when instead you got to see Vince's ass.

Well, thank goodness AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, and Samoa Joe made it through the portal in time. Don't know why James Storm went back though. Despite all his luck, he's still in a promotion that sucks.

Is Chazz still just a guy from Jersey who just wants to have fun?! Actually, as a twist, this time he's going to be portrayed by Jerry Mathers.

Titus can take pain. He can recover it, uh, recover. He can recuperate. He's sick of Darren Young treating him like a red setted RED HEADED STEPCHILD! It's only a matter of time before Titus runs the WWE UHHHHHH RIDS THE WWE of the likes of Darren Young and the goon squad.
