Hate it. Totally mashed together. It'd be one thing if it was a WCW vs NWO thing where unlikely guys have to team up to take on this force, but I really don't get that feeling. Shield hasn't been that dominant yet, even with the run-ins and PPV victory.

Will be interesting to see what they say to Nash's claims that he wasn't the booker during times the book said he was. I loved the book, still re-read it once every couple years, but there was some stuff I found hard to believe. Also, they went super easy on Ric Flair, considering how many guys still have beef with him. Same with Dusty.

A good title for upper-midcard/main event guys who the WWE doesn't really know what to do with yet. We've seen Sheamus, ADR, etc. all in the genuine main event picture before, but right now, they don't fit with the CM Punk/Cena/Rock/Ryback thing that's going on right now. It's a title of promise, that "hey, we want you around, you do good work, we're just busy with other stuff". The only person this hasn't been true of since it became the clear #2 title has been Swagger, which I still don't understand. I'm not saying Jack Swagger is main event worthy, but he's talented enough where he should still be in the IC/US title hunt.

For me, it's probably a tie between Ric Flair, Sting, and the Undertaker. At least Flair and Taker don't always wear a t-shirt.

If they're smart, they'll keep the Rumble last. Keeps open the possibility of involvement from Rock/Punk/Show/ADR, depending on who wins/loses.

Okay, here's a hypothetical scenario. Let's say Dolph Ziggler were to win the Royal Rumble. That would give him a title match at Wrestlemania, obviously. But considering he's also got the Money in the Bank contract, he could theoretically have another shot (whether for the other world title or right after losing the match he earned from his Rumble win). I'm just curious if any of you would want to see this scenario play out. In a culmination of him pulling double duty on PPVs (not that he's done it lately), he challenges for the WWE and World championships at Wrestlemania. Would any of you want that? I actually had a dream that he became the Undisputed World Champ. Kind of a surprise, a la Jericho.

I like him in the spot he's in. He's burned every bridge he has, and he doesn't care. He keeps winning, sitting on his throne mocking the common folk. Don't know where he'll go once he loses the title, but it'll be interesting to watch He needs to ratchet it up. Show some of the legitimate hate and disdain he has for people that don't live up to his standards. Start pointing out individual crowd members and tell them to go kill themselves, because they're not fit to breathe his air. As a general observation, he seems to viciously dislike anyone who's not part of his inner circle, and want to make them feel like absolute s***, so play that up to the hilt. I love all of this. Except I don't know who's in his inner circle anymore, unless Colt or Samoa Joe gets signed, or Kassius Ohno gets called up. EDIT: Except Heyman, obvs.

I think the promo was pretty good. Original enough. But let's be honest, we're all gonna forget about it within a year, or at least the common mark will. Short term memory is a bitch. People remember the phrase "pipe bomb" but they don't know what Punk even said last time.

Good lord. I'm sorry, but the era of Graham, Sammartino, Backlund, Gagne, etc are at least three generations behind. Wrestlemania created the AD to the WWWF's BC. Graham's opinion of the business or anything happening is not relevant now, nor will it be again.

f*** yeah, that'd be amazing. I mean, if you're gonna have two MitB contracts, the Royal Rumble don't mean s***, unless the wrestler kayfabe really wants to wrestle at Wrestlemania. It used to be a big deal just to get on the card at Mania. Now they just throw together multi-man matches so everyone's happy...kinda. Zack Ryder will still whine about not getting booked.

Heh. Maybe an RF Video release, 2 hours. Don't want WWE to censor or cut out the best ones.

While I do think this long of a reign for Punk was unexpected, he's certainly no Triple H. HHH had some entire episodes of Raw booked around him and friggin Scott Steiner, and this was when Raw was two hours!

Goddamn! Lots of early matches. Wasn't crazy about that first DVD set of his (some good matches, some outright boring stuff) but I might have to pick this up.

I've said it before, but the El Generico character is essentially a WWE character. White guy goofing on luchadors while being funny and a good wrestler. Custom made midcard magic
