In most people’s opinion, LA Knight doesn’t really have a chance at taking the belt off of Roman at Crown Jewel but could this be his Wrestlemania 13?
The “I Quit” match solidified the white hot Austin as a top guy and we all know what happened from there. How can Knight lose and come out of this stronger? Cena turning on him? A brutal match that ends relatively clean? Pass out in the guillotine due to blood loss like Austin did to the sharpshooter?

I would book him like this to make him a world champion by the end of the year.
Very corny, late 80s type of face with a very “normal” move set that gets him some easy wins, but there’s a lack of aggression in what he does…as if he could do more but just doesn’t and the fans are pretty split on him.
Then he teams with New Day and his lack of aggression causes them the match. Kofi tells him that he could be a world champion, but his lack of aggression is holding him back. Boogs challenges Kofi to prove to him that he has what it takes. During the match, Boogs does his regular moves and Kofi keeps kicking out and mounts a comeback and almost pins him. Boogs gets control again and same result, except this time his offense is relentless. He has Kofi pinned but he keeps going with high impact moves showcasing his aggression. The referee stops the match and Boogs doesn’t know what got into him. He’s confronted by Xavier Woods in the back and destroys him.
New, aggressive, slightly crazy Boogs beats Kofi, then Woods, then both of them at the same time in the following weeks in fairly lopsided matches. A returning Big E makes the save and they have a match at Summerslam. Boogs goes after Big E’s neck and “re-injures him.”
He then sets his eyes on Cody or Sami or whoever is champ. Boogs wins the title only to be confronted by a fully-cleared Big E for his first major feud as champ. Then possibilities are endless with Bobby, Brock, and Roman feuds in the waiting.

As a kid, I used to think baby face Smash would’ve been a great singles star. He was a great late 80s wrestler, and I thought he had a great look. Looking back, he was balding and didn’t have a great physique…which was very important at the time.
They booked him (and Axe) pretty strong when they were faces in the Rumble and I always thought they’d do something with him.
Anyone else used to feel the same way?

I would book him so that he fares well in singles matches against top guys, but ultimately loses. Then have him feud with Kevin Owens who brings up the fact that everyone keeps talking about how great Montez is and how he’s the next big thing, but all he does is lose. Build to a big PPV match where Montez….loses to Owens. It’ll give him experience on the upper mid-card as a singles guy.
Have him tease a little attitude while he goes back to teaming with Dawkins. Make it seem like he’s going to be the one that turns on Dawkins, but have Dawkins turn on him. Montez gets his revenge, beating Dawkins in a singles match on PPV, which shows that he can actually win. Have him slowly go from underdog who couldn’t win the big one, to confident star in the making.
At next year’s Money in the Bank, it seems like Kevin Owens is going to win it when Montez (who’s also in the match) beats him to the punch. Sets up a huge SummerSlam rematch against Owens, who Montez beats, solidifying his main event status and legitimate threat as Mr. Money in The Bank.

As Raw as he was/is, I would’ve had him win the Rumble and go to Mania to face Reigns, where he’d lose a hard fought match. Star officially born.
He goes undefeated until next year’s Mania where he beats whoever takes the strap off of Roman due to the Rock’s interference at the Rumble main event.
Co-Main event at WM 39:
Bron vs. ____ Reigns vs. Rock
He then remains undefeated until Reigns wins the Rumble to face Bron at WM 40, as the only person to have ever beaten him in the WWE.

Much like the CM Punk debut in AEW…the show starts with everyone chanting Cody’s name. His music hits and out he comes. As he’s dropping a promo, where he mentions AEW by name, he’s interrupted…but not by Seth, he’s interrupted by Triple H.
Now I know we’ve all read the reports that he’ll never be able to wrestle again, so this likely can’t happen, but it would be great if Triple H tells him he saw what he did to the throne. He’s heard what he said about WWE, and now he can say it to his face.
If Triple H is cleared medically, and LOSES to Cody at Mania, this would be a great start for Cody’s run.

Remember how light of a move would lead to a pin in some old school tag matches?
Ref counts, 1...2...and gets distracted by a manager. Partner of guy getting pinned comes in and stomps the man on top, leading to him getting pinned as soon as the ref was back.
A stomp to the back/head led to a pin...and I’m not talking a Rollins curb stomp.

Wrestlemania V was the first WM I remember watching as it happened and I remember the Macho/Hogan build up, but I can’t quite remember what they did for Warrior/Hogan at WM VI. Without going to the network and re-watching, can anyone run through how they got to the match and any build-up before?
In my opinion, this was the “biggest” match of all-time. It was a literal dream match and 7 year old me was truly conflicted.

Bruce Prichard has some pretty decent impressions and others that aren’t so great. Is it just me, or are his impressions a LOT worse on the network version of the show than on the podcast?

I honestly think Jason Jordan is a future world champion.

What's the benefit to WWE? What, in 2018, does Hogan have to contribute? Nothing in terms of on-air talent. However, Hogan is still the biggest star of the 80's and a legend that is still popular with casual fans. He can still be valuable used in a legends roll and doing things for the network and using his likeness in video games. As posted above, this rumor pops up every few months. Will believe it when I see it. 80s and one can even argue 90s. It’s insane that people think he has no value now. His appearances could lead to some people tuning in and some people stopping on the channel he’s on when they see him. On the flip side, I don’t think many people would tune out if they saw him on tv (even if they say they would).

I remember hearing something about Hercules potentially coming back as a Cuban gangster from Razor Ramon’s past (I want to say it was on Something to Wrestle).
I guess Savio ended up getting a similar role (not as a gangster), but how do you all think it would have went?
Hercules always came off as an older guy even when he wasn’t (kind of like Ax of Demolition), but I think it would have been an interesting role for him. Maybe even give him some goons of his own and he sits back with a cigar until it’s time for him to get his hands dirty.

Pretty crazy that someone took that much time of their day to type up fantasy booking of freaking Big Cass being world champion. It took a couple minutes sitting on the toilet.

Brock signs on until the Survivor Series. The Mania match against Roman ends up going 15 minutes and Brock wins pretty decisively. Who’s going to ever beat Brock?
Bring Cass back as a heel. Have him work as a monster that dominates most of his opponents.
Daniel Bryan makes his way over to Raw. He gets involved in a huge feud with monster heel, Cass. Cass dominates DB all match, but ends up getting rolled up. He hits a big boot on DB after, setting up a rematch. Same formula, and DB wins again. This time Cass accepts defeat and walks off.
Bryan moves on to Lesnar. Can he be the one to dethrone him??? L
Lesnar/Bryan main event at SummerSlam. Tough match, but Brock retains. The next night on Raw, a battered Bryan hobbles to the ring against Brie’s wishes and says he took Brock to the limit and asks for a rematch. Brock says he doesn’t deserve one, but he can fight him right now and proceeds to destroy Bryan. He even hits the old school triple power bomb as Brie is shown in the back pleading with someone for help. As Brock goes for the kill shot (something terrible to DB’s head), out comes Cass for the save. Lesnar walks off without any physicality.
DB is out of action for a bit, and Brie tells Cass he’s the only one that can stop Brock. Cass says he did DB a favor because he respects him, but that he has no issues with Brock. Cass dominates a mid-card face on Raw.
Heyman says there are no issues between his client and Cass, but Brock takes the mic and warns Cass to mind his business. Cass is shown laughing it off in the back as Raw goes off the air.
Slow build up to Cass and Lesnar at Survivor Series, where Cass beats him for the title. DB wins the Rumble and Wrestlemania can feature Cass/Bryan III, this time for the Universal title. Lots of mutual respect between the two. Cass vs. Strowman, Cass vs. any Shield member, and plenty of other opportunities in the future, including an Enzo return for a possible heel turn or feud.

Has anyone else had 3, maybe 4, pretty different characters successfully be involved in the mid-card or above in a major wrestling organization?
Papa Shango was a short-term success Kama had a decent mid-card run for a year or two Kama Mustafa has a decent mid-card run for a year or two The Godfather was his most successful run Even The Goodfather found some success (tag team gold)
I say 3-4 because Kama Mustafa and The Goodfather were kind of extensions on Kama and The Godfather. Either way, has anyone successfully portrayed as many characters?

I’m told Rey Mysterio injured his bicep (possibly torn) during a tag match for Northeast Wrestling against Joey Mercury and a partner. If actually torn, this would not allow him to participate in his rumored Wrestlemania match and may even put a halt to his potential WWE return in general.
Got this news from a friend that attended the event.

I LOVED Demolition growing up. I thought they were amazing. Having recently watched a few of their promos and matches, it seemed like it was Smash and his dad Ax. Even though Bill Eadie was 40 during the start of the Demolition run, he comes off as a fatherly figure 😂.
From the way he looked, to the way he talked, to the way he moved... Almost everything about him just comes off as old. I didn’t notice it as a kid though, so there’s that, but still.

I’ve been re-watching old pay-per-views and just noticed something I had never noticed before. Andre’s singlet is...dark blue. I always thought it was black, but when you see it next to other black tights it’s almost definitely dark blue (even compared to his boots).
It’s most evident at Wrestlemania VI against Demolition.

What would you consider a clean win?
Hogan had Warrior pinned when the ref was out at Wrestlemania VI, but he lost later on. Do you consider that clean?
What about pinning someone with a handful of tights??? Heel tactic for the most part, but is it considered clean if you win that way?
Then there’s things like putting your foot on the ropes for leverage during a pin. That’s deliberately breaking a rule, so that’s probably clearly not clean, but what if you “cheated” earlier in the match and it didn’t get you the pin, but you still win later? Is that still a clean win?
