I hope it's not too late to make a suggestion but can the scoring for team defenses be altered? I don't feel that the yahoo defaults reflect how offensive the league has become over the past few years. Seattle was the best defense points wise last year (17.3ppg) yet that would only net 1 fp. Thoughts? Sorry for being so late to responding. I've not been on the board in the last few days, been busy with stuff. I can still change it, but I'd only consider changing the "points allowed" totals. I think if I start boosting turnovers and Return TDs then that's gonna alter how/when/what order defenses are drafted way too much. And even then, I don't think I'm gonna give a MAJOR boost, just enough to make them not be a "can wait for the final round and still have a great defense" thing. I might boost lower points allowed greater instead of raising all the points allowed stats by 2-3 points each (might as well not even bother at that point). Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

MK 4 is my favourite MK game. It's aware of how ridiculous it all is, and doesn't take itself too seriously. I especially love Kai's uber-emo ending. That's a big reason I love U3 and even Trilogy (on the N64...if the load times weren't so awful on PS1 I'd be fine with that). They know this is all just batshit insane, and if you start digging the insanity just ramps up more.

If they were a smaller company sure. Some time to reload the storylines, give people a break from certain wrestlers therefore keeping them from being "shoved down their throat", giving wrestlers rest, and having solid "season finale" events where major shit is guaranteed to go down sounds all well and good.
WWE's just too big a company to pull it off. They'd lose too much money to make up for those benefits they'd get from downtime.

"Good thing I found a maaaaaaaaaagic balloon." *uses balloon, turns back literally a second later, continues falling*
I always just assume they never knew how bad some of these episodes were, considering how cartoons were at the time and how many were just quickly/poorly made, but they even titled the episode "Mama Luigi". Like, they knew that line was hilariously bad.

Eh, it was nice when NXT wasn't behind the paywall (in fact, I think NXT was one of the first "paywall" shows the service ever had....I remember there being VERY few shows, as in maybe 10, that were "Hulu Plus only" when NXT went that route). But ever since, they only put the lame stuff up for free. Not to mention, watching ANYTHING (even the free stuff) on anything other than a computer required a Plus account.
I still have used the service more than Netflix due to the show selection (a bunch of my friends that tell me to get it then give me a list of bad movies to watch ironically), but I know I'm in the minority on that. And the ad breaks aren't really that bad compared to network TV, but if you're coming from the ad-free Netflix experience or are a major bingewatcher and can't stand the same ads, I can see the issue (it stuns me they've never gotten to running a larger variety of ads or maybe even found a way to do local ads...they already trace location, considering Fox shows on Hulu run a logo for my local Fox affiliate in the corner). I also think it's got a better anime selection than Netflix, although if that's what you're after Crunchyroll is so far ahead of both services.

I updated the home post, but I felt it proper to post here.
I am holding the Draft Lottery tomorrow night (or tonight, depending on your time zone) as soon as Raw goes off the air. I plan on holding a Skype call, so if we're not already friends on Skype and you wanna join in, shoot me a PM.

And the league is set!!!
Please note, I am having some issues with the schedules. For some reason, setting divisions caused the league to schedule "rematches", so some teams play each other twice while others don't play each other at all (and these aren't division-exclusive rematches, otherwise I'd be more OK with this). Once I solve this, I'll finalize the schedule/divisions.
Scheduling fixed. I had to randomize it, but I got it where it needs to be.

Also, if you didn't call dibs, it's not too late. Simply shoot me a PM or post here, and I'll get with you on it.

God forbid I end up calling this guy's demise in hindsight, I can't state enough that I hope he pulls it off without a hitch. But whenever I hear about stuff like this I always wonder (even with the broadcast delay) what kind of circus would unfold if one of these stunts legitimately went wrong and a person died on-the-air. It was jarring when Owen Hart died mid-PPV for the people that watched the PPV on TV, even though nobody watching on TV saw the event transpire, and the mainstream media's focus on the fact he died on-air was nuts. What would the aftermath be of someone dying from a stunt on live NETWORK TV, with a decent chance (despite the delay) the camera will catch something going haywire?

He's a commissioner that's actually willing to do what's "best for business", and not just as a tagline. It's why LU's Dario Cueto, despite being a heel, works in the same regard. They might have moments where their characters lean towards stacking the odds against a face or giving a heel their comeuppance, but their overall goal, the thing that drives their decisions, is to give the audience something awesome that they'll believe was worth their money. Cueto does it more for the money and wealth than any connection with the wrestlers unlike Regal, but it still works. Their main goal is to put on an awesome product first, and if they can deal with petty personal bullshit in the process, that's fine. But the latter doesn't get in the way of the former, unlike on the main rosters where the latter CONSTANTLY gets in the way of the former.

If I had a dime for every second I've had fun playing any game in the Uncharted franchise, I'd have...maybe a dollar.

I'm keeping this limited to Mania's I've been watching wrestling for. So IX isn't in my jurisdiction.
Wrestlemania X-7's ending was predictable, yet still a "holy shit" moment all at the same time. In a vacuum of just that moment, forgetting how poorly it played out after the fact, that ending was awesome.
The proposed 18 ending that Hall/Nash both have claimed was in the books until the night before (Hall beats Austin, Rock/Hogan goes on last, night ends on an NWO beatdown of Rock and Austin) would've been shocking too, considering how much everyone thought Vince would NEVER put over anything WCW as a big deal (and apparently that's why it didn't end that way).
I was honestly kinda surprised they kept the title on Cena for WM 23. With how the crowd was turning, and since this was the first time Cena was going up against another face at Mania, AND thinking HBK might hang it up soon...I remember being in the Wrestlecrap AIM chat (remember those?) with everyone positive they were gonna put the belt on Michaels and then stunned when they didn't.
27 with The Miz keeping the belt for me. I hated Miz (still do, I think he's way less talented in all aspects than his booking suggests), and thought for sure the experiment was going to be over for Wrestlemania. I remember all the way up to it thinking "at some point Miz has to drop this belt to someone......Edge, Kane, Orton, somebody........they can't seriously be main eventing with Miz/Cena". And I remember a good handful of people on the forum thinking "Well, they're gonna main-event with Del Rio/Edge or HHH/Taker". And for it to end with The Rock hitting his finisher on Cena while leaving Miz alone (despite the fact The Miz had taunted The Rock just as much as Cena did up to that point) made zero sense. And the image of The Miz standing tall with the belt at the end of Wrestlemania...it's been 5+ years and that still feels like something I conceived in a fever dream.
I knew they had to find some way to clustersmurf the ending of WM 31, because there seemed to be no way they could put the belt on Roman, but Brock holding the belt on a part-time basis seemed to be backfiring in the booking. IMO, they did it rather well. I've seen the MitB briefcase in recent years to be an obvious "eject button" for the booking, but they truly did book themselves into a corner with Roman/Lesnar, and that was their only way out of it.

Tzatziki just sounds like a rehash of last years Gyro. Well partially, Gyro weren't on Wavy chips. Also Gyro had more than juts Tzatziki sauce on it. It also had a lamb flavor. Could've fooled me. My whole malfunction with the Gyro chips was that it tasted like Tzatziki and nothing else. I saw the pic in the first post and thought "Man, they are hellbound determined to produce those nasty ass gyro chips". Reuben, I could taste the thousand island, the rye bread, the corned beef, the kraut, you could pick out each individual flavor. But the other flavors seemed to be missing a few notes. Hell, I've had Biscuit and Gravy chips that had more authentic flavor than the ones that won the contest last year. I've never even heard of Picanha (sounds good though), and I've never had Szechuan chicken from a decent Chinese restaurant (as in, not who-knows-how-old chicken and frozen stir-fry veggies from a bag drowned in a canned sauce). The Tikka Masala sounds alright too. The other 3 sound like they could kick ass.

If ANYBODY else says that line, there'd be lines of posts about firing the writers.

I want to let everyone know that the time for registration has changed. I won't be available for the 12:00 EST registration as I actually have a lunch date that we could only arrange for Saturday afternoon. Therefore, I have pushed the time back to 4:00 EST.

Each one has some good and bad ones, I dunno if there's one sport or league that I think consistently nails it or misses the mark. Maybe college football with how gimmicky everyone thinks they have to get now thanks to Oregon's 8-9 different uniforms per season. I like the gimmicks with tradition to them (the stickers for OSU and FSU, amongst others, are the best ones I can think of). But some look nuts just to look nuts. Why can't we all agree that the San Diego Superchargers Powder Blue Uniforms are both the worst and best looking jerseys? I've always considered the creamsicle Buccaneers to be the flag-bearers in that regard. To be fair, their update with the flag and skull was badass too. I hate what they did recently though, with the digital-print numbers and colors clashing. I'm scared to death of the day the Chiefs feel they gotta update in that regard.
