They must come to Memphis, Tennessee at some point. The city is rich in wrestling history and has a venue large enough to host WrestleMania.

While you make decent arguments, the fact remains that all of them were faces during the pinnacle of their careers and were far more successful as faces as well. Savage is most remembered for his time as a face and also his two WWF/E title reigns as a face. Don't get me wrong, he had some great heel moments, but it wasn't the same as when he was a face. DDP was one of the WCW poster boys during the late 90s, and the reason was because of his success as a fan favorite. This is also the period in wrestling he is most remembered for. I really don't see how you can argue for Taz(z) and RVD as heels. All of their success was earned while they were faces and they enjoyed the pinnacle of popularity in their careers as faces. The NAO and X-Pac were three of the top faces during late 90s WWE. Every week they were getting insane crowd reactions. X-Pac's heel run in WCW was forgettable and his stint in X-Factor was just embarrassing. I don't see how a case could be made against his popularity as a face in the Attitude Era. The same goes for the NAO--there's no challenge to the popularity they enjoyed. I havent really got time to get into it you are right on some poinjts but most you are not. IO think you have to do a little research as by your RVD and Tazz comments I can tell you are some what of a newer fan who has not done as much research as they need to to post on these subjects. Namely RVD and Tazz heel runs in original ECW, Savage as a heel in the 80's and heel Macho King vs his later face run. NAO as heels vs faces same with X-Pac. X-Pac is not simpkly heat made up by smarks. He did get little to no reaction towards the end of his WWF run in early 2000's esspecially on the house show circut. DDP I will give you but I would do a little more research on the other faces v heels if I was you. Your l;ogic and points are very flawed and as you didn;t know Tazz was original a heel in poriganl ECW I can tell you are a newer fan. I've been a wrestling fan since 1990, but thanks for making assumptions about me--I'm glad that people still think assuming is the best policy in argument. Can you guess what my hair color is next? I fail to see how I am incorrect here. Granted, I wasn't watching ECW when Taz(z) was running around barefoot in the tag division or when RVD was jerking the curtain at Barely Legal, but I was there when RVD was Television Champion for 23 months and when Taz(z) was destroying all comers as ECW World Champion. I was also there when Taz(z) debuted and made Kurt Angle tap out, and when RVD came to the 'E and became a multi-time IC Champion and WWE Champion. I remember those times, and I also remember them being faces during those times. Randy Savage made a great heel--I'm not arguing that. He put on one of the greatest matches of all time with Steamboat, had a memorable feud with Hulk Hogan, and also pulled a great match out of The Warrior. The fact of the matter is that he lost all of those feuds and only climbed himself back into title contention by turning face. Both of his WWF/E title reigns were as a face and the pinnacle of his popularity was his time as Champion in a tag team with Hogan. Most people that remember wrestling from the 80s remember Savage as a face. Now I'll admit that it's a close race, but I'm giving it to face Savage. I'm not going to further argue X-Pac and the NAO. If you simply refuse to believe that they were highly popular faces during the late 90s then I don't know what else I can do. It wasn't just Austin and The Rock that helped shift the ratings in Vince's favor, it was also DX--HHH, X-Pac, and the NAO. I did not miss an episode of Raw from 1998-1999, I know what I'm talking about here. But, I have no problem providing further proof. X-Pac as a face: New Age Outlaws as faces:

If they actually invested time in the mid-card like they used to, then perhaps I wouldn't see it as so bad. There are no mid-card storylines anymore, there are only feuds without dialogue. All the time on the show is invested in the main event, which is probably the reason mid-card wrestlers get very weak crowd reactions these days. I remember when Razor Ramon had the entire crowd behind him-- could the same be said for Regal and Shelton? Granted they're heels, but where's the heat? Does anyone really even care what happens to those championships?

Savage, DDP, RVD, Tazz, NAO, and X-Pac just to name a few. What about Macho King which is probably Savages best run in WWF and his feud with Hogan he made a much better heel than face. DDP was heel for a few years in mid 90's WCW before he was turned face and done pretty well RVD and Tazz both made good heels in mid 90's ECW (Tazzmaniac) New Age Outlaws were much better heels than faces as was DX as a whole. They started to get a lot watered down when they turned face after Wrestlemania 14 X-Pac!?! you ever heard of X-Pac heat? While you make decent arguments, the fact remains that all of them were faces during the pinnacle of their careers and were far more successful as faces as well. Savage is most remembered for his time as a face and also his two WWF/E title reigns as a face. Don't get me wrong, he had some great heel moments, but it wasn't the same as when he was a face. Being born in Africa makes you Jamaican. And also makes you come out to music by a Bahamian.

Damn that sucks for Hulk. I hope everything turns around for him, because in reality, he is one of the few wrestlers that has become wealthy as a result of the business, and it would suck to see him fall into financial destitution like so many others.
