When he retires he could always get a job on the sidelines, like the timekeeper. He'd control the masterclock....

Final Fantasy Tactics does not get enough praise for how intricate, and dynamic that game really is, and when you combine an awesomely original storyline, a five-star soundtrack, and a compelling cast of characters, you have yourself an outstanding game that tends to be forgotten and overshadowed by inferior games with pretty graphics. Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the most critically-acclaimed games of all time, and it's sold more than 3 million copies worldwide, combined with its PSP remake sales. I don't think it really qualifies. Vagrant Story, on the other hand... I dunno... FF Tactics was completely overshadowed by FFVII, and sandwiched between that and FFVIII. A LOT of people overlooked the game or wrote it off because of its graphics and the fact that it didn't follow the standard JRPG formula which was HUGE at the time. I'd say that counts as underrated. Vagrant Story, imo, mostly suffered from the lack of the FF name tacked on to it. It's definitely MORE underrated that FFT, but FFT is still totally underrated.

I had some recently. They started stocking them in one of the vending machines at my job. I forgot how damn tasty they are. I never liked the pizza/taco ones. The "cheese" and crackers ones are awesome though.

Apparently, according to detractors, The Dark Knight would have been a miserable failure if Heath Ledger hadn't passed away, all hype about the movie prior to his death to the contrary. I'm sorry, I loved the movie and Heath Ledger was awesome in his role, but that movie would have been nowhere near as scuccesful/award winning/beloved by all if he hadn't died. Most of the pre-death hype was either A - on par with the first movie, or B - going on in comic book / gamer circles. It wasn't until after he died that the movie hype reached epic proportions. In fact, before news broke that heath ledger died, most conversations about the film among non-hardcore fans went something like this: Person A: "Hey, what do you think of the new Batman movie?" Person B: "Me and my friends are probably going to go see it. The first one was pretty good." Person C: "You hear that the guy from Brokeback Mountain is playing the joker?" Person B: (Obligatory gay joke) Person B's Girlfriend: "Hey, I liked 10 Things I Hate About You! He was good in that!" Person C: "Yeah, I just can't see him as the joker, you know? I mean nobody can top Jack as the Joker" (Followed by an argument about people's favorite Joker, with someone inevitably learning for the first time that Mark Hamill did the voice of the Joker in the Animated Series, and the person who says Cesar Romero getting things thrown at them.) Then Heath Ledger died and every conversation about the movie went like this: Person A: "Hey, what do you think of the new Batman movie?" Person B: "Me and my friends, family, and children already have tickets. This is going to be the greatest cinematic event of our lifetime." Person C: "We just rented Brokeback Mountain from Netflix. I didn't watch it when it first came out because it was overhyped, but I really think it set Heath Ledger up to be the perfect Joker." Person B: (Obligatory gay joke about Jake Gyllenhaal) Person B's Girlfriend: "Hey, 10 Things I Hate About You is now and has always been my favorite movie. I cut Heath Ledger's name into my arm when I heard he died!" Person C: "He was born for that role. I haven't even seen it and I know he's going to win an oscar for his brilliant performance. I think he's the one person who can top Jack as the Joker." (Followed by an argument about people's favorite Joker, with someone inevitably learning for the first time that Mark Hamill did the voice of the Joker in the Animated Series, and the person who says Cesar Romero getting things thrown at them, but pretty much everyone agreeing that Heath Ledger is the best Joker ever even though the movie hasn't been released yet.)

This topic needs a then and now comparison... Before the Wellness Policy: After: Holy crap. Look at how much different his hair is in that second picute. It's like. 3 times the size! Seriously though, it does kind of piss me off that guys like Masters get their careers destroyed by a wellness violation, and guys like HHH not only get away with questionable extreme changes in muscle mass, but actively make fun of Masters on tv.

Wow that would be awesome if this leads to a cure/vaccination or even just more knowledge about the disease so that it can eventually be cured. EDIT: Just thinking how much it would suck to be that German guy though. Doctors: We have good news. We're starting treatment for your leukemia Guy: Doctors: The bad news is you have HIV. Guy: Later... Doctors: We have good news! You no longer show traces of HIV... Guy: Doctors: The band news is that has nothing to do with the leukemia... Guy:

Beyond Good and Evil for PS2 by Ubisoft Great game with a cartoony but serious plot combined with great controls and visuals. Totally underrated.
Mutant League Football (and Hockey) for Genesis by EA Mutant League Football was based on the Madden engine, but starred mutants, zombies, and skeletons. Cheating was an encouraged gameplay element. Total win. Mutant League Hockey was a similar premise only with hockey. Total win on ice.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care about the ratings of shows that I watch? I mean, I care if NOBODY else watches my favorite shows because they might get canceled, but I can't really find any reasons to care if raw gets a 3.1 or a 3.6.
Wrestling seems to be the only TV show based fandom that I interact with that obsesses about this. Is it a holdout from the Monday Night Wars when Vince and Bischoff made that the central part of ther "TV peen" measuring contest, or am I missing something?

Have we determined that it is, indeed, Chavo in the Soaring Eagle costume? If so, I somehow missed the discussion on it.
The reason I bring it up is during one of the video packages last night I hit pause on my dvr to go do something, and it was at the exact moment that the eagle was taking a hit. The eagle's head part of the costume came off partway and I swear you could clearly see Chavo inside. Either that or someone who could easily be mistaken for Chavo from that angle...
Anyway. Yes? No? Maybe so?

On the one hand, there are times like Batista with a basketball that was such a specifically 'Crap fad that it seems like it had to have been done on purpose.
On the other hand, if WWE wanted to give us a subtle nod, surely they would have had Chris Masters come to the ring wearing a sombrero, or booked Dennis Stamp or something by now...

Eh, sometimes. But I check out work by recently deceased celebrities mostly because it becomes so accessible for a time after they die. Usually, though, if I'm interested in it in the first place I'm already familiar with most of their work.
Perfect example is Johnny Cash. I was a fan of his when I was a kid because of some of my relatives and I really became a fan of the last few albums he put out before he died. Now that he died and "Walk the Line" came out I'm suddenly really cool for having "Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison" on vinyl.
Michael Jackson died and suddenly his music was everywhere and everyone was a fan. While I can definitely dig his music and it was cool hearing it again (and I loved playing Moonwalker in the arcades), I still don't own anything but Thriller and I don't really listen to it very often.
