I've seen on Twitter and in Facebook comments some of the hardcore Punk fanbase now turning on Ace Steel with their theory that the Punk problems in AEW started once Ace joined the company and all of Punk's outbursts and missteps have been because Ace Steel has been egging him on like Ace is Punk's Lady MacBeth or some shit. Just wild the reaches some will make to defend their parasocial boy. There were actual reports before Punk came back that he was ready to back out on his return because Ace Steel not being allowed in AEW buildings anymore was not relayed to him They are made for one another lol Ace Steel: half-Emperor Palpatine half-Chance the Rapper's career-killing brother-manager Taylor Bennett.

I go back-and-forth every time I do a 1996 rewatch, and right now I believe Goldust saved Ahmed Johnson's life by intervening in a way that shoddy medical professionals weren't willing to. He clearly saw the man was in need and not being properly attended to.

Won my first Stadium Stampede last night after playing that mode since it was available. Absolutely love it.

I wasn't watching at the time so I may be wrong, but wasn't the Trump-Rosie match the one and only time the WWE Raw audience chanted "T-N-A?!"

The Bucks not wanting to talk to the guy who assaulted them at work in front of the Head of Legal and the Head of Talent Relations is completely valid and nothing to fault them over.

Welp, I had a feeling this was the case since his wife has been liking some exceptionally out-of-pocket tweets critical of Tony Khan since the announcement of Punk's firing on Saturday - twitter.com/Mendezlucy12/likesAnyone follow Ace Steel himself? He has his Twitter locked down private, but I'm curious if he's going to make another all-time-lame "freedom" tweet.

Hear me out -
Swerve beats MJF for the belt, continues being an awful heinous villain with he and Prince Nana dastardly disposing of all contenders...
...until he's ultimately dethroned by Eddie Kingston.

Superbrawl 1999 got almost 500,000 buys and was WCW's last ever really huge PPV number. It either beat or came close to beating St. Valentines Massacre with the big Austin/Vince cage match a week before. I'm trying to think of what matchup could've led to superbrawl 99 having such a big number, but I'm drawing a blank If I had to guess, it was probably the last serious Hogan vs Flair main event program before things got super goofy again. Flair was re-established at the end of '98, Hogan was still top heelin' after the fingerpoke of doom and it was a true main event level heel Hogan vs face Flair program. After that, fans knew it was the road to Uncensored which historically has always been pretty silly and WCW '99 began to really WCW '99.

Vengeance 2005 had a huge buyrate. Around 420,000 buys which are numbers non-big 4 PPVs hadn't done since around 2000-01. Extreme Rules 2012 got around 275,000 buys at a time when non-big 4s were usually struggling to get 200,000. Bad Blood 2003 got almost 400,000 buys despite being a Raw-only show. It's weird because Backlash 2 months earlier with the entire roster and a huge Rock-Goldberg dream match wasn't even that high. Regarding these three: Vengeance 2005 was in the middle of the 2005 draft that had the weekly stip, so you essentially had a one-off supercard featuring the top talent of both brands for the brief time they were all under the Raw banner. If I recall correctly, it had a World Heavyweight Championship match and a WWE Championship match, which you only otherwise got on the big four shows in that era. Extreme Rules 2012 had the return of Brock Lesnar, who was a mainstream PPV draw beyond WWE so people wanted to see what Brock would look like back in wrestling. The show also had a particularly strong undercard as well. Bad Blood 2003, while the very first Raw only show, was really booked fantastically. You had Nash vs Triple H Hell in a Cell when those were still very rare in the main event (with Foley as ref), you had the then-dream match of Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels who hadn't faced each other since Shawn was a Rocker, and you had Goldberg vs Jericho which, along with having Goldberg back on PPV, you had the bubbling "what will they do" of the then-rumored real life heat of Jericho and Goldberg facing off. Raw put its absolute best foot forward for that show and there was really (outside the aforementioned Vengeance 2005) a Raw-only show in the Ruthless Aggression era that would have that much thought and build put into it again.

Aretha Franklin's Respect being used to hype Bret Hart's title match at Wrestlemania 9. I suppose you can say it's a timeless classic but I still found it odd to use a 60's song to hype this match in 1993. I wouldn't say this counts at all. On top of being timeless, it did have a big resurgence in the early 90s across being licensed for a bunch of media. If anything, it was WWF being very *in* touch.

While I can't be of help in tracking the episodes down (I vaguely recall them being on the pre-Peacock network in the States but may be misremembering), I really liked the Bret Hart vs Vader match on one of those episodes and can confirm that alone is at least going out of your way to try to track down.

RIP
By all accounts out here in Minnesota, he was a great guy and a big Vikings fan. Whenever he'd be in town, he'd try to make Vikings games and was super approachable and pleasant.

First of all, as a fellow lost media enthusiast, welcome to the forum!
So, I went on an *ahem* hunt for Manhunt myself to find the episodes a few months back. I came up with nothing, except this little bit of information: I learned that Manhunt had two pilots shot prior to airing. Cena was in the one, and then there was also one shot without Cena. I don't know if he was in every episode, or just the one you shared the clips from and then possibly he wasn't in the others. Sharing this with you in hopes that if you find other episodes and it seems Cena isn't in them, that this was his only one, or if he's in multiple that one episode you'll find won't have him.
Happy (Man)Hunting!

Never cared for the Brothers Beverly, but I really thought Enos had something in WCW. For sure, he's a hidden gem for me. I've wondered if it's just me who saw it. I liked the Bevs, but I completely agree on him having something in WCW. Did a rewatch of the 1996 WCW B-shows a few years back and Enos had promise both as a singles and tag guy. Side note, Joaquin Wilde/DJZ and I hit it off during Mania 35 weekend just before he signed with WWE. He's a hip-hop producer on the side and pre-pandemic in 2020 was doing a project where he was remixing a different wrestling theme each week and having different MCs rhyme over it. He and I collaborated on this remix of the Beverly Brothers theme -

I want two things:
1) I want Punk back in UFC! (He's a "trained fighter" after all)
2) I want Taco Bell. Might still go get it this morning for breakfast after I finish emailing off some pitches.

I'm waiting for the anti-Elite/pro-Punk stan contingent to just straight up say that The Elite manipulated CM Punk via mind control and made him do all the things he did. I'm just waiting for them to pull that straw next. Might as well since the pro-Punk stan side has fully dived into conspiracy theory land. Going to go all the way and say that the time between his last UFC fight and joining AEW he was imprisoned in an apartment-like cell with no knowledge of his captor or what he did wrong, only to be let free in time to join AEW but only after he was successfully hypnotized into doing their bidding as an act of elaborate revenge for something Punk wasn't even aware of that he did.
