Okay, so every song isn't a knockout... okay, and, yeah, that one song is pretty much a rip off of Poison's "Nothin' but a Good Time", but I don't think it's that bad. Oh... Carry on then.

So as some of FAN know, as of 2012, hubby and I have been in a bad movie war And as some of FAN know, I'm currently in a Christmas challenge (I used two picks in Doctor Who and Mickeys Once Upon a Christmas) I need something bad to make him throw his hands in the air Christmas Story 2? Santa and Martians? Santas Slay?!? I took a Buzzfeed quiz last night that brought... um... this to my attention... www.imdb.com/title/tt2304098/Now I don't know about you, but I'm thinking something like that just might give you the edge over him! You can find the whole thing on YouTube, and I'm sorry.

Eh. I just watched the trailer and honestly the game just seems like a whole lot of nothing. It seems like the developers just wanted controversy and by God they got it, but when you strip away the controversy it just seems like there's no substance to the game. At least with other games like GTA, sure, you can kill people, but there's a deeper story there; I must be missing the appeal of the pointless killing being the story.

Probably the inability to pull ourselves away from phones. I have absolutely NO room to talk since I am a goddamned selfie whore and love checking my phone, but I chalk that up to the fact that I never had a phone when I was younger AND THE RAZR WAS SO COOL MOM WHY CAN'T I HAVE ONE NOW IT'S IN A MUSEUM AND I MISSED OUT ON MY CHANCE TO HAVE THE COOLEST PHONE EVER

I believe mine is a 2a which is precisely the reason I just shave my hair. I'd much rather rawk the early 20's bald thing then have a hairline that starts at the middle of my back.

Wow, what a win! Complete opposite from the game the other night, as from the very start the team was playing with fire and heart. Hopefully they can bring this team out every game, because when they put it all together you realize how impressive a team they really can be.
Captain Picard in goal is an absolute beast, as well. Crazy guy.

This is my first exposure to AHS and so far I'm really enjoying the season. I agree that it's kind of fallen flat in recent weeks, but compared to other... horror-y... I guess, shows like The Walking Dead (which I still watch and enjoy somewhat) AHS is miles and miles better in terms of gripping characters and interesting story.
Whenever I get Netflix I'll have to give previous seasons a try, as I've heard great things about them; the first one, specifically.

Due to me not watching TV very often this is the first Avs game I've seen thus far this season; I'm a terrible fan! My main concern thus far; I'm not seeing any offense. The Preds are given all day to toy around near our net, but anytime the Avs have the puck they're getting manhandled and all it takes is a few seconds for Nashville to get the puck back. Varly being out sucks, too, but this new kid seems promising thus far.

For selling loose cigarettes? Seriously? THAT was the major crime this guy committed?
Jesus Christ. I feel bad for cops in this nation that get a bad rap because of murderers that hide behind their badge like these f***ers.

I'll echo fw91's hope that Felicity is just burnt out rather than being done completely; you're way too good of a player to be 100% done, so whenever we do this again (which I'll completely understand if that's a ways down the road given how long this game went on) I hope to see you! I'm obviously very excited to have finally won a game that I've participated in many, many times, but going through the final post I was going nuts; mainly because Felicity picked a couple of my personal favorites with "The Chain" and "Stranglehold". I believe that choice of songs to be the toughest I've ever gone up against, so major props to you, Smoak. To Pegasus - thank you very much for the kind words! I do indeed love this section of the forum, and it's been awesome to participate in so many games; especially with you what with Mafia and such. I will say this, though - I am retiring from FAN Idol. My one goal, as is the case with any player, was to win a game, and I knew that if I could do that I'd want to go out on top. However, I am still in love with the game, so whoever does the next game (and can we just take a minute and thank Tyger for his ridiculous effort into making this game the absolute best it could be? You did a hell of a job, man - best we've ever had!) I'd absolutely love a spot at the judges table!

Saving all of my thoughts for the wrap-up thread, but I will say that Felicity presented a hell of a final song-list and she probably deserved to win more than me!

Ah, I guess the road's gotta end somewhere, right? This game has been so much fun. From finishing at the absolute bottom in Round 1 with Never Leave Me Alone, and realizing how the judges work and how you have to make decisions in this game, to surviving all of those singoffs, to placing in third overall, it's been a blast. I just wanna thank Cage for starting this game, Tyger for leading it and running this whole show, all the judges for liking my stuff, and Orange for being the guy to beat me. It was an awesome experience, and I had a lot of fun doing it. ...that being said, I'd be lying if I said I didn't think I could go further than I did this season. So, hey, I'm not saying I'm throwing my hat in the ring for next season, I'm just saying I'm thinking about it. For real though, this was awesome. Major props to everyone involved. This game has been going on for a year, right? Definitely no shame in going out now, and you're such a strong player that you can easily do it all again next season, so I hope we see you back! I personally can't believe I've made it this far! Even if I don't win, I'm definitely taking pride in lasting this long, because I've never even been this close.

It's not the catchiest song they've ever written, but from a pure musical standpoint, "Gods of War" is one of my favorite songs ever from any band. Just a beautifully written and composed song from top to bottom.

The day Paul Stanley goes I don't know if I'll even be able to function. He's been my musical idol since I was 5 years old, so that one is going to hit HARD.

Nostalgia put aside, I feel that Hey Arnold holds up very, very well. I can get the arguments as to why it doesn't, because some elements definitely seem dated, but overall I think it absolutely holds up as a very well written show with very interesting characters.

Leslie Nielsen. In all honesty, though, I've never seen Christopher Lee's Dracula so I can't compare him to Bela Lugosi's. However, given how wonderfully Lugosi nails the creepiness of Dracula's personality (you know, all that vampire stuff notwithstanding) Lee would have to give a hell of a performance to top him.

Cockles. Giggle. As I said, my mornings/afternoons are pretty busy, so I can wait until evening. I don't want an auto-elimination but I don't want it to come to a point where we struggle to do a Round a week when we only have five Rounds left. Plus it's selfish (any player who regularly, willingly holds up multiple people unabashedly and unapologetically). Comes across as a "world revolves around me" syndrome. (Again, I stress the word "consistently." It happens from time to time. But every round? Um, yeah.) I'm the holdout. I've got a lot on my mind lately with school starting again, and coupling that with just general family stuff and finally learning to drive on my own, I've been spending a lot of time away from the forum in general. It's never been my intention to make anybody wait on me like I'm something special, it's just that time has really gotten away from me lately; so, I do apologize to anybody that I've kept waiting.

When you make yourself, do you put yourself on your favorite team or do you opt to play for somebody else? In Madden 25 when I made myself (and this had a lot to do with Peyton Manning being a 96 overall while I was a 70 something; before I found out "Instant Starter" was a thing), I put myself on the Jags instead of the Broncos. Why? I really don't know; it just kind of seemed more fun to go to another team, and I've developed a soft spot for the Jags because of it. Now, in Madden 15, I made myself and opted to make myself a Titan instead of a Bronco. I'm not remotely close to being a Titans fan, but it just sounded fun to me. So, FAN, what do you do; fulfill your fantasy of playing for your favorite sportsball team, or do you pick a random team?
