The old Boston Garden was an absolute shithole, but I loved it.

I only remember this because E&C tried to fake having genital warts to get out of the match. And genital warts don't rule from what i've heard They can be painful and embarrassing....so I'm told.

Didn't Undertaker get reinjured in late 1999 or 2000?
I think I remember hearing he was supposed to return from injury at Royal Rumble 2000 but got injured so it was pushed back to Judgment Day 2000.

I remember Sgt. Slaughter throwing a fireball in Hogan's face in the backstage area. But....that actually happened. Didn't it?

Triple H was fighting Garbage Men and Hog Farmers... Warrior is the kayfabe greatest wrestler of all time. He was a unbeatable god. You want a back and forth match? I've never understood this. They needed a semi hot midcard heel to do the job. Triple H didn't really lose any mystique and was moved into a feud with Marc Mero. As for Warrior they had no idea what to do with him after that, but people paid money to see Warrior wreck a fool at Mania and that match was a success. I'm with you. It absolutely astounds me that way one thinks it should have been a competitive match.

Shawn in 1996-97 was absolutely unbearable. Why exactly was anyone supposed to like this arrogant douchebag? I just wanted to see Vader, Mankind, Owen, Austin....or anyone demolish the guy.

Just remember, Dolph Ziggler had buttsex with her. And possibly Todd, and a majority of the guys from WWF's "New Generation", and HBK, and.... Well shit....who hasn't had buttsex with her?? I haven't.

I firmly believe turning Austin heel at Mania 17 was the beginning of the end for WWF. Even worse, turning him heel AGAIN at Invasion (no matter how entertaining he was) was the single worst creative decision they've ever made, one from which they've never fully recovered. Following that with turning him right back to the old "Stone Cold" the night after Survivor Series 2001

The "rules" to the multiverse opening in No Way Home. Probably mentioned it in the NWH thread. I feel like that'll be covered in Doctor Strange 2 and, more likely, Loki season 2. Though another MCU one, what happened to Sterns? Did he mutate into the Leader? What happened to him? And Betty, for that matter!

Well Gorilla Monsoon is always right. And since Hulk Hogan actually could pull out a wide variety of wrestling maneuvers when he needed to, that can only lead to one conclusion - Hulk Hogan can't tell time. The guy who says he wrestled 400 days in one year can't tell time? For reals? I thought he said he wrestled 400 matches in one year, which is entirely feasible.

I remember Chris Benoit headbutting Stephanie one week and the next show they crossed paths backstage. He asked her in a heelish manner, “How’s your head?” Stephanie gave him a vicious slap in the face and Chris snaps his neck back like a rubber band and looks back at her again with an evil grin before walking off. I remember this. It was in the fall of 2000.

Marc Mero was never any good. He was a big get for the WWE at the time, so much so they broke their pay structure to get him. He was rapidly improving in WCW, was a heck of an athlete and didn't seem to have a mountain of personal problems bubbling away behind the scenes, unlike a lot of the WWF and WCW rosters at the time. He struggled to find himself and had the misfortune of getting hurt at a bad time, and the horndogs in booking deciding his untalented wife should be the star and never recovered. Mick Foley didn't care for him, and he was one of the few to speak out about wrestling's massive death toll when eddie and benoit died, so he's persona non grata with wrestlers and that seeped into the IWC 's opinion of the guy. As "Wildman" in 96 and early 97 he was over AF. People seem to forget that.

It's also true that Dusty's spot was much better than people tend to paint it as being. It wasn't just "polk dots LOL," he was close to the top of the card and usually looking strong. Yeah, like his main feuds were against Macho Man and Ted Dibiase who were two of the top heels of the company. Yeah, anyone who tries to say Dusty was being buried was clearly not watching at the time. In 1990 he was probably the #3 face in the company behind only Hogan and Warrior.

In 1996 he attacked Jose Lothario, so that automatically wins. Then in 1997 he powerbombed Jose's son! Even better!

It’s also notable that one of Savage’s last WWF appearances was him stopping Backlund from attacking someone. Odds are that if he had stuck around, it would’ve been Savage vs. Backlund at WM 11. I think that WAS Savage's last WWF appearance.
