I gave him a chance for two years now.
I'm done.

I don't wanna give him a chance. I'm gonna boo the hell out of him every time he's on my screen cause frankly I LIKE rooting against him. To me he's just an old fashioned heel I watch all the time for the sole purpose of the day he finally gets beat the hell down. He plays the role well.

Cause he's CENA, man! I mean seriously, who doesn't like to hate on Cena? Come on!
Nah though, I liked him very much as a heel, and he has his moments as a face for me. He can put on decent matches on PPV, and makes me laugh when he's not trying to impress 11 and 12 year old boys and girls.
Still, it's not like he's gonna win the strap at No Way Out, so everybody really just needs to get over it.

What do you mean ALREADY, it's not like Cena was incredibly popular over here before his injury and we just suddenly turned on him.
Alof of people, including me, were really sick of him and were enjoying the time away from him and are pissed that it had to end so soon

They're complaining because they have nothing better to do. They're complaining because, it's the internet, and when on the internet, NOTHING can do no good. However, the complainers do have one other thing in common. They, and they alone, can fix professional wrestling in America. Just ask them. They'll tell you.
The funniest goddamn thing about the whole thing? People heard that it was gonna be HHH winning(or they just assumed so) they went batshit. "WWE HOLDS PEOPLE DOWN! CM PUNK SHOULD WIN!" et al verbatim. Then #30 hit. The internet exploded. Quite literally, for WC at least.
Lastly, the reason the complaining is going on is because everybody is expecting Big Show back soon. They weren't expecting Cena back until spring. WWE SWERVED everybody. Nobody in their right mind thought he'd be back. If they say they did, they're full of shit. We alllllllllllll got owned by WWE. And some just don't like not being in the know. Makes them look like 'marks' instead of 'smarks'. AND THEY JUST CAN'T HAVE THAT!

No I agree with him for the most part. People in the Royal Rumble thread were like "The Rumble Sucks, there are no surprises" Then entrant 30 IS a surprise, and people bitch about how it's not their ideal surprise. Add that to the 2 million "bring back the nation/fix ECW/fix TNA/Fix the WWE/Fix the Cruiserweight Division/Fix SD/etc" threads and it's just out of control in a sense. To paraphrase Mitch Hedberg: "You can't please all of the people all the time, and Sunday night all those people were watching the Royal Rumble" I'm not saying you can't boo Cena, I'm just saying that the arguement against is so played out that it's pointless

There's a large group of people that watch wrestling, not because they're fans who enjoy the product, but because they're douche bags who enjoy complaining. Unfortunately a lot of these people are here on this board. The best thing to do is just ignore them.

Screw giving him a chance. He's had going on 3 years worth of chances and he STILL sucks.
It's time for someone new to go to the top. Instead of this lame ass no-talent remaining on top to the delight of very little.

So basically you enjoy defying convention. Good for you. It won't change anything, but good for you. It's your right to believe you're being trendy and sticking with your convictions

I don't remember mentioning anything about wanting to be trendy.

I'd never thought people would make a big deal about people booing a wrestler who they do not like...
Isn't that why boos were invented?

I've had a theory on this for a while and it goes something like this. Ahem...
2008 CENA = 1985 FLAIR.
Now, I don't mean skills wise, I mean character wise in relation to the championship. Both are guys who, in kayfabe, ALWAYS have the bejesus beat out of them on a regular basis, yet they ALWAYS end up with the title somehow. In '85, Flair was booed like crazy because the fans believed he acted like he was the best but, again in kayfabe, he just scraped in each time. He had NO BUSINESS bragging about all his wealth when a Dusty Rhodes or a Magnum TA would kick the crap outta him day in, day out, right? Same with Cena. He cuts all the arrogant promos, but people like Edge have the wood on him, but just can't finish the job.
tl;dr, Cena should be heel, but keep the gimmick exactly the same if he wants me to like him.
