When I think of CLASSIC, golden-era WWF mega-stars I think of the following guys in the following order: 1.9 hogan 2.) Warrior 3.) Savage 5.) Andre 6.) DiBiasi. The Hall of Fame wouldn´t be a hall of fame if the Warrior would not get inducted. I guess a lot of people who bash the Warrior weren´t around in the 80´s/early 90´s. Warrior was mega-over. Even in his abscence he was super-over (kids were talking about him in schoolyards during 92-96!). He got a Mega-Pop at WrestleMania XII (the only time the crowd in Anaheim woke up)! Guys like Bret Hart, Koko B Ware and Bobby Heenan are in the HOF ... the Warrior deserves it morwe than those IMO!

They should induct the Ultimate Warrior character but not Jim Hellwig. Vince should just accept it on the character's behalf. Who is Jim Hellwig? There is only Warrior now. Jim Hellwig was the original Warrioir, but he died of an overdose. Warrior took his place at Wrestlemaina 8. ;D

The Warrior rumors are ridiculous. There weren't 2 Warriors. There were 4 of them.
1. Original Warrior
2. House Show Warrior (Original Warrior didn't like wrestling if there were no cameras)
3. Wrestlemania 8 Warrior (Original Warrior got beat up pretty badly by House Show Warrior over decreasing paychecks so he couldn't wrestle)
4. Post-Wrestlemania 12 Warrior (Original Warrior was too busy dealing with admissions problems at Warrior University)

Maybe there actually IS a Hall of Fame building, but they probably built it in Parts Unknown, and now they can't find it again...

Good one of the most memorable freakazoids in pro wrestling, he's Pro Wrestling's Dennis Rodman. The guy was a pretty popular Halloween Costume this year, and people remember him. Well people 22 and up do.
I'm all for this, and I'd mark for the guy running around shaking podiums and all he'll have to do is snarl and cut a conservative laden promo

If we look at the FAME part of the HOF, its hard to not justify inducting him.

More then bret hart? What?Bret hart is one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of pro wrestling. I mean the warrior was popular but when I think of who the greatest wrestlers of all time are hellwig isn't even my top 50.

In all honesty though, I'll bet more 'mainstream' people would recognize the name Ultimate Warrior than Bret Hart; at least in the US. It may not be by much, and it probably decreases by the year; but I'd bet you'd get a higher percentage going ' Yeah I remember that guy'. for ol Waryah.

I bet his acceptance speech will be at least an hour long. No breaks for applause. Santino gets up to heckle and gets shouted down mid-sentence. HHH pedigrees him, only to have him get back up and continue talking.

As usual there's plenty of debate on this board about whether or not Jim Hellwig deserves induction into the WWE's Hall Of Fame (and whether or not the Hall Of Fame actually means anything). I'd like to take a different look at this though, putting both of those issues aside.
Business-wise I think a Warrior HOF induction WM26 weekend makes a lot of sense.
I don't know how it works when WWE contacts outside talent for Hall Of Fame appearances, but I'm operating under the assumption that WWE books them and has to pay them. Hotel, air fare, etc. might also need to be paid for. Warrior is an Arizona native. Booking him presumably wouldn't be as costly as bringing in someone else from further away. Also, just like Ring Of Honor and Dragon Gate, Warrior could independently schedule an appearance for himself WrestleMania weekend and make easy money from the numerous wrestling fans he knows will be in the area. If WWE can pack paying fans into the Hall Of Fame to see the Warrior instead of letting him potentially schedule something that wouldn't gain WWE any revenue, why not try to do it?
Side note: Armando Estrada also has a business in the AZ area. Induct him too!

I don't know how some people are saying he don't deserve to be in. The guy was mega-over for about 4-5 years. Drew A LOT of money from merchandise/attendence sales. Sure he wasn't the best wrestler, but he'll always be remembered unlike 80% of the guys today who won't be remembered 10 years from now.

Every single one of you would mark if you heard his music play on Raw one night out of nowhere. While he's strange, weird, and has some extreme views on certain topics... That music alone is amazing. Even a DVD completely devoted to burying the Warrior, they admitted his music is quite probably the best of all time.

Funniest thing about that whole DVD was Batista....BATISTA of all people, knocking the Warrior's ring skills/ring presence. Oh Dave. Pot. Kettle. Black.

Yeah, Pete Rose deserved his spot over Warrior...I completely agree! /sarcasm Didn't someone refuse entry because Pete Rose got in before he was even considered?

Warriors induction speech would be a 45 minute rant on Tort reform and illiegal immigration.
