Ive never hated Rey. Even though everyone else hated it, I liked his WHC run in 06 and although the 619 setup is stupid, its not enough to deter me.

well he still has a bad knee he needs surgery on And the fact that he is still able to put on great performances despite that should be applauded.

As it stands it just seems like he wants to cripple himself as soon as he can. vs Punk on Smack Down, Vs Tyson Kidd on Superstars, Elimination Chamber, vs Punk at Mania (even with the time constraints ), vs Luke Gallows, this week his match on Smack Down, etc, etc, etc.

Mysterio hasn't ever been all that entertaining, I think. I never got the appeal either.

I love how threads like this always start up about whoever Punk's feuding with at the moment, providing he isn't decisively winning every encounter. This. I like Rey. The only thing I can't stand is the 619.

Bull. His performances in the '09 EC and feuds with Jericho and Ziggler have been the best work he's ever done. Yeah, with Jericho and Ziggler carrying the workload. No. When a match is as good as all of the Jericho-Mysterio matches were, no one's carrying anything. Those were just two of the best performers in the WWE putting on fantastic matches. And Ziggler couldn't carry Rey's tote bag, let alone a match. That series was all Mysterio. Dolph just happened to be in the ring.

He'll never be as fun to watch as he was during the WAR or WCW days, but he's gone up and done since.
I don't hate him, but I don't really care to see him as much nowadays. I don't mind the 619, just he's languished in general.

I hate having to suspend every amount of disbelief every time I see him wrestle someone over 200 lbs. Which is like always. It just seems really unbelievable which is funny because this is wrestling after all.
I didn't buy him as WHC and, IMO, he only got it out of sympathy. Would have felt better about Chavo winning it.

You do realize that it's perfectly possible for a small person to kick the ass of somebody that big, right? I'm 130 pounds and have easily destroyed people weighing 250+. It's not just about size.

Size isn't everything, true, but this is wrestling where most offense centers are catching your foe's body and doing something or other to them from there. Most of Rey's offense consists of his foe catching him or him weakly kicking them - it makes no sense from that perspective, especially when he's taking on Big Show or Kane or somebody.
Oh, and the Gallows / Punk thing gets even more ridiculous when you consider that, if NXT results are anything to go by, Darren Young is better than Rey Mysterio because he beat Gallows.

The only thing I can't stand is the 619. I didn't nessecarily start it up because of Punk. Don't get me wrong. I get what you're saying. I'm moreso saying it about EVERYONE he fueds with. Eddie, Kane, Punk, Ziggler. He's ALWAYs come out on top, no matter what.

Rey just seems to come out on top of every feud he's involved in, even the ones where he shouldn't.

Also to ad to that the reason he's considered one of the weakest World Champion's of all time is because he lost an overwhelming majority of his matches during his reign.

Rey's quality of work has gone down a ton in recent years.
Yet they still put him over and everything.
I wish they'd push his crippled ass out the door already and send him to Mexico to finish off his career.

What happened during the Kane feud? Was it that one-sided? Doesn't matter. Rey has joined the ranks of Jeff Hardy, Undertaker, Morrison (when he was Nitro) as all of a sudden hated when defeating punk for a title or have a string of victories on him.

The majority of the board has gone sour on Rey long before his current feud with Punk.
