I can't stand Rey Mysterio anymore.

I felt that his treatment of the Dolph Ziggler feud didn't help Dolph one bit. I mean, you had a guy who came out on the winning side of a feud against the Great Khali (more of a "beating a larger opponent" instead of a quality opponent) and he is set up to losing to a guy close to 1/3 of Dalip's size. That, in addition to the "Mr. Ziggles" comments (done by Morrison, a seperate case) ruined a decent push to set up a quality mid-card heel.

Also, he keeps beating guys that he shouldn't be beating in the first place... especially against Mike Knox.

Personally, eventually, the Straight Edge Society will be defeated... but I don't want that happening so quickly. I mean, come on! Add to the fact that Rey Mysterio's abilities have been downgraded from a lucha libre-high flying/style to Doink the Clown jumping over the past few years... and its depressing as a SES fan.

Personally, I don't care for his finisher more than anything, but that goes back to his myriad injuries, which feed into why he isn't the same competitor he was even a year ago, or the year before.

His moveset has been neutered byt injuries and WWE safe-style, he constantly goes over in one-sided feuds. Even when SUSPENDED he gets his title back as an act of contrition between him and WWE and refused to drop the belt to the 'E's preferred person, someone who is only now beginning to get some of his moemtum back.

Do I HATE Rey Rey.....not really, I just find very little to be that entertaining or likable about him. I understand that as long as the masks and merch sell like hotcakes he'll be employed, but that's no reason to keep him high on the card. He'll still sell merch no matter his place, just make him a damn shill and don't confuse the issue anymore.

It's kind of sad, I really used to be a big fan of him. I mean, his stuff in ECW and WCW was some really good stuff. But once he took enough roids (and let's be honest, he does them), he started to sputter, and no matter how much good friends he was with Eddie, he should not have won the World Heavyweight Title. At the very least, Cena looks like he can legit beat the people he's in the ring against.

I think a lot of it goes back to the "The part of Eddie Guerrero will now be played by Rey Mysterio"/"Who died and made you champion?" title reign.

Aside from that, there's also that his current moveset is the most contrived in the entire WWE (aside from the 619, there's also that stupid Rube Goldberg Facecrusher where his opponent has to catch and lift him while he's jumping backward in order for him to do it), and that he hurts people with his knee braces (I seem to remember him cutting Matt Hardy pretty bad with them).

he's a long way from my favorite wrestler, and not liking someone is totally your own choice, but denying rey mysterio's ability as a wrestler is an admission of not knowing anything about how professional wrestling works.

i kinda liked rey back in WCW but for some reason never really got into him in the WWE. his title run is the last time i really recall him getting crushed on a regular basis though. but put me with the "how can rey keep beating guys the size of Knox and Kane so much on a regular basis?" group. if they split the matches 50/50 that's one thing, the 95/5 or so in rey's favor is a bit overkillish to me.

beating guys ziggler,jericho and punk's size is more reasonable for me but to be honest i pretty much fast forward though any Rey segments/matches these days anyway.

Sheamus wasn't liked all that much on here. mostly because he got the title out of nowhere. (much like swagger, not all have turned on swagger). Orton is way over. But no other fan base goes crazy when their wrestler isn't winning a feud. I mean the freaking undertaker got a depreaction thread when he defeated punk for the title.

What I think what hurt the punk fan base the most isn't the whinning everytime he lose, Its the apperciation thread he gets for every little thing he does. I made a john cena appercciation thread the night he made punk tap. It gets locked in less than 5min. Doesn't help when theirs a double standard with the mods on what type on threads can be made.

If punk would have won and I would have made a "punk makes cena tap thread" it would have never been locked. But it was the other way around. why is that?

I'm not denying his ability. I just don't think he deserved the WHC before, say, Rob Van Dam or (WWE version) Booker T. A tag run with Chavo or US title run would've sufficed.

I think the Mysterio hate is more a manifestation of the board's seething hatred of anything aimed at little kids in WWE. Considering that we've seen far, far worse (Little People's Court anyone?) I don't really have much to complain about.

And its not just Punk that gets the endless appreciation threads, Miz, Jericho, and even heel Batista get boatloads of 'em. Seriously, Miz got a thread for saying Danielson was a charismaless dork. I like Miz but he's the only one benefiting from the NXT push to supposedly help his "rookie".

I agree with the miz thread. It was a good speech but still it was putting down Bryan. I still think we'll have a bryan heel turnand he'll join the miz.

NO, the whole "who died and made you champion thing" stays in my craw. Him being marketed at kids doesn't help but I, for one, never really hated Cena.
