I also wondered if Cena was drunk. That was just bizarre tonight.

Cena was the best part of the show tonight. Dear god. Really? I'm not knocking you. I just find it somewhat mind-boggling. To me it embodied everything that makes Cena unlikeable as a character. Although, since half the audience loves him, I assume it'd have to be the opposite for them in that case.

To me it was like any other john cena appearence. The crowd was overall seemingly uneasy. Some kids and women seemed to like it. The others seemed to detest it. They tried to express both opinions but each side seemed uncomfortable at both.
I don't think he was supposed to get a mixed reaction or boos but people just seem to hate him.
And that was pretty f***ing irritating so I can't blame them.

Cena - Big Johnny is the only feud that has any substance right now.

i wont get to see it till later but i read a recap of it did he really say "Puck You"? They were talking about how Ace was going to say that the Pittsburgh Penguins were "Losers"(A word that became a VERY annoying recurring theme of the segment) and then Cena pulled out a puck from his pocket and said that on behalf of all Penguins fans "Go Puck Yourself" and then he threw the puck.

The smart fans know that Johnny Ace is the real life Executive Vice President of talent relations, and they also know that Cena is devoted to this company almost to a frightening cult like degree.

Did I miss some boos for Cena or something? From what I remember, the crowd was laughing and/or cheering him on with pretty much every insult or comment he made to Johnny.

I turned off Raw when John kept saying "loser!". Goddamn, he was more annoying than he's been in like atleast a year.
Last night's Raw was absolutely horrendous, and I'm actually alot less interested in Over The Limit than I was before.

I didn't here any booing either. I guess the classics always work and Ace Ventura's and Jim Carrey have been around long enough that it's classic now

Cena wants the guys who'd run things right in charge. He's not anti-authority, he's pro proper authority. I know that is the kayfabe storyline. But in reality, Laurinaitis is the "right guy" for his position as Executive Vice President of talent relations. He was introduced to us in a shoot promo by CM Punk who mentioned Cena as an asskisser of Vince McMahon and Laurinaitis as his yes man. I guess everyone already forgot about that by now though. If you are going to introduce him in this worked shoot style, at least try to maintain some of that as time goes on. It's the same thing when Cena would go after Vince. It just rang so hollow because we all know the reality is that Cena is dedicated to Vince and his company above everything in his life. And this side of Cena was brought to light even further in his work this whole past year with The Rock. He was all about the company and "loyalty" to it. I just can't suspend my disbelief with this storyline. This should have been Punk's feud.

It was lame and it reminded me why I hated Cena. I really started to like him around Wrestlemania and especially in his feud with Lesnar. Last RAW was just painful and embarassing to watch. I wouldn't want to watch that with other people around.

Cena got a crowd that didn't care for the majority of the show to really cheer for him. Whether or not we liked it, that's at least something I can appreciate. That's not really true at all. They gave huge reactions to Bryan and Punk, a pretty big reaction to Show during that whole ordeal, and appeared to be into the Orton/Sheamus brawl. Cena did get them more riled up than anything though, unfortunately.Yeah, damn that crowd for actually reacting to a segment and having fun! Concerning last nights promo, I had no problems with it. Cena and the crowd were having fun, and it setup Sunday's match just fine.

Cena was playing to the crowd. He wasn't trying to impress the IWC or smarks watching from home. It's that simple.
If Cena wasn't getting huge face reactions from the crowd he wouldn't have been as over the top. Part of his cheers came from the excellent work Big Show did earlier to get Ace over as a huge asshole, though. It was a great team effort for Team Cena.

Was the point of Cena's promo at the end of raw specifically designed to get us to forget about the rock and brock matches that some had begun to respect him for in order to get the fans to boo him?? I mean I know the WWE is playing up to the whole "He gets mixed reactions" so was that the point of the promo? Because if so , It worked perfectly. I hope it was. I hope that that was designed to get people to boo Cena because if it wasn't , I don't even know what to say about it. If they were trying to get people to boo Cena then it failed miserably because that was the most that Cena has gotten cheered in years.

and also I am ashamed of my hometown for not booing the s*** out of that horrible segment. NIce elitism. You thought it sucked so therefore nobody is allowed to enjoy it. People have the right to their opinion. Don't insult them.
