Another reason to despise Chris, he ruined the lives of his 2 other children. The kid will not be given a chance, bc of something he had no control over.

If he wants to wrestle, so be it. If anything, you'd think he'd be more aware of the risks involved. That being said, he'll probably never end up in the WWE. Even with a changed name, no reference to his father, or anything it'll still come out in the media that WWE Superstar XYZ is the son of Chris Benoit aka the guy that killed his family and himself. He wouldn't be worth that headache. Japan? Mexico? Sure! Yeah, because NOBODY in Japan or Mexico knew who Chris Benoit was or what he did. it's not that people would be unaware of what happened. What I'm getting at is those cultures (society, wrestling, the corporate world, etc) would be more accepting and far less of a nightmare to deal with. New Japan or AAA could pick him up tomorrow and not have to pray no one mentions Hardcore Holly and/or answer to the media why the would do such a horrible thing like giving him a job.

For perhaps the first time ever, I'm in favor of the NXT Name Generator.

I really feel for him, but lets face facts, whatever walk of life he enters someone is going to judge him because of who his father was. At least in wrestling, there's a chance he can use that background to his advantage and turn it into a positive tale, overcoming the odds to live a dream. I just hope no promoter is heartless enough to make him work as a heel and use the crossface in a desperate attempt to create some controversy for their promotion. I wouldn't want him anywhere near WWE. Too much of a deadringer of his dad you know, I don't see the resemblance at all. Look at his father before he got overly muscular and gross and you'll see it.

I mean it hasn't been a problem for Tamina Snuka... Again, Jimmy Snuka was never convicted and few people actually know he was ever involved in a suspicious death.

I am honestly disgusted by the idea that anyone would hold his father's actions against him. A man is not their father. If anything he deserves a lot because of what he's been through. Can you imagine what that experience put him through? Even if he wasn't close with his stepmom and half brother, having your father turn into a monster like that and having it be a national media circus must have been harrowing. I wish David Benoit all the best.

Anyone Who says he couldn't get a job with a major promotion is seriously not thinking of places like NJPW AJPW NOAH AAA CMLL and the new Westle 1!

I don't even understand why it would be a PR nightmare? Just sign him and if the media raises a fuss just say "we hired the son of a murderer because he doesn't deserve to live his life in his father's dark shadow and deserves the same chance as anyone else. He's talented, he has a ton of potential, why wouldn't he sign him? If you don't like that you can suck it. Its cruel to hold this young man's father's actions against him. He is not his father".
It would be so easy to turn the tables and make the media look like garbage for raising a fuss, because the media WOULD be garbage for raising a fuss.

Are people actually against this? If he has a fraction of his dad's talent he could be awesome. You guys realize he's not the same person as his dad and probably has never killed anyone right? This made me laugh way too hard. No need for me to read the rest, this is good enough.

I think people are getting a little ahead of themselves here. Lifting weights with Harry Smith one time doesn't necessarily guarantee a years-long commitment, the necessary talent, and body development to get anywhere close to a significant wrestling career. I don't think he's quite yet reached even Nick Hogan level of commitment to this.

What he needs to before his first match is never mention who his dad was to anybody and go by a different name. A mask gimmick maybe his only hope because he looks like his dead. I feel bad that he has the dream but likely never made it because something he had no control over. He could be a great wrestler but he has to deal with everything his dad did and nobody wants to speak about his dad in wrestling. So he has a much slimer chance to making it big then normal because of that and it's not his fault. It's just how it is.

I'm glad that after all the things that has happened in his personal life, he hasn't let it killed his passion for wrestling. He may not make it past training camp but at least he is making a go at it. There isn't a rule saying you can't become something in life because of the sins of your bloodline. If he wants to become a wrestler, let him strive for that dream.
