It was... ok. It's probably the formula beginning to wear on my, but apart from the cloak, there was nothing thatwas really stellar about the movie. It may be the Marvel model beginning to run thin, or it may just be that this character isn't as interesting to me, but I enjoyed the Guardians 2 preview more than the movie.

I really loved it and found it to be a fun experience. You can definitely tell that Marvel is going into a somewhat darker direction. While I do believe they need to tone down on the humor or better yet, use Return of the King as an example, perfect example on how to keep the atmosphere intense and dark without ruining the momentum of a serious scene with humor.
The last battle in Doctor Strange was definitely unlike Marvel. Seeing the chaos and destruction along with several dead bodies was shocking. However, with Infinity War looming Marvel needs to move away from the humor and get more darker, serious, and intense.

It felt like it was a solid introduction for the character going into The Infinity War. Nothing too risky. Dr. Strange and Tony Stark should make for an glorious interaction. I overall enjoyed the movie. Makes me want Dr. Doom in the MCU even more.

Oh man, I so want Robert Downey Jr. to use the "awesome facial hair bros." quote. I still want someone to make a no shit Sherlock reference in a scene with both Stark and Strange Picture this. Strange takes Stark on a field trip to show him the capabilities of his powers and that there are threats that transcend time their dimension, life and death. They even go to an alternate universe where they don't exist. The Fox universe. They come face to face with X Force. They're grilling burgers and relaxing. Deadpool manning the grill with an apron that says "Reakwon The Chef". Tony says, "What's the deal here?" Strange replies, "It's hard to explain. This world is a bit different. Interesting, but different indeed." Cable says, "Tell me you guys didn't come he to start trouble." Deadpool, "Winston my dear Cable, like trouble didn't follow you when you Terminatored you way into my heart." Tony says, "Strange we don't have to hang around long." Strange, "Fine by me. By the looks of this place I can sense a presence of confusion and that can be contagious." Deadpool, "No shit Sherlocks. You don't know what confusion is. Wolverine had to got back in time and fix this universe just so Cable could be born in time to live and come back in time for my sequel. Who's your Wolverine. Is it Mighty Mouse. I always like that cartoon." Tony,"Well actually his name is Mick..." Strange, "Let's go. I think we're needed back home." *portal closes* Deadpool, "Well that was fun."

Finally saw it. It's one of the better Marvel films for sure. Not as good as the great ones but way better then just the good ones. Anyways it was my first 3D movie in years and well it was still dissapointing in 3D. Anyways my main two gripes was he became really good really fast. A montage or showing how much time has passed would help considering everyone is also arguing over its timeline anyways. {Spoiler}Also the post credits heel turn scene was lame. Dude is a choir boy who briefly mentioned he had demons suddenly becomes an heel who doesn't value life anymore because his mentor used some dark magic to prolong her life in which he defended earlier. Felt forced and weak like the post credits heel turn of Sinestro in The Green Lantern movie. I was hoping for a slow burn heel turn.

Finally saw it.
Meh. Very meh.
I liked the first half. Fun watching a Marvel hero be so vulnerable. But I've never wanted a Marvel movie to finish quicker.
Thought the end was lame.
Never been too much into Timey-Wimey-magic-not-grounded-stuff.
Great acting performances across the board.
Phenomenal graphics.

I feel dumb that I didn't realize that Cumberbatch voiced Dormammu as well.

I feel dumb that I didn't realize that Cumberbatch voiced Dormammu as well. I didn't even know that. That's a brilliant bit. And yeah, I hope Everitt Ross is in Infinity War and they make sure that he shares a scene with Strange and Stark. Hell, for shits and giggles, throw some money to Jude Law and show him walking by in the background, just to mess with people.

I feel dumb that I didn't realize that Cumberbatch voiced Dormammu as well. Mostly, anyway. 50% of the voice is him, plus the facial performance.
