I guess this was the single, and makes more sense to post. Lajon Witherspoon at his best!

Notice how Bizkit gets no love? We're pointing out the glimmering bits of the genre.

Anyone remember when the singer from low-level nu metal band, Snot, died and the titans of the genre all got together, in tribute? Hell yeah. The songs with Corey Taylor, Brandon Boyd, and Serj Tankian being real standouts on that album.

I was good with Durst/Bizkit until Chocolate Starfish. Man that shit was an embarrassment.

Notice how Bizkit gets no love? We're pointing out the glimmering bits of the genre. Yeah. The shit that was good was really f***ing good but the bad was really f***ing bad. Still though, Three Dollar Bill Y'all$ is a good representation on the genre at that time period. That album and the self titled debut from (hed) p.e. in 97 are my favorite examples of "raprock"

Also, since when did it become cool to "hate" grunge? The big 4 of grunge are still quite popular, even more so than nu-metal's top bands at the peak of that genre's popularity. Especially Nirvana. Because it became a race for record companies to recreate the success of Nirvana. And then Post-Grunge came around which heavily watered down the concept of Grunge.

Notice how Bizkit gets no love? We're pointing out the glimmering bits of the genre. Never got into $3 Bill, still enjoy a good 75% of Significant Other, liked a handful of songs in total from the next two albums, not liked a single thing they've done since.

I was good with Durst/Bizkit until Chocolate Starfish. Man that shit was an embarrassment. I was even down for parts of Chocolate Starfish. My fandom for Bizkit waned as a result of articles I read at the time that painted Durst as a douchebag, but I didn't really lose interest in the band as a whole until "Eat You Alive".

There was a group of chicks that came around in 96/97 called Drain STH that were pretty good. Always preferred them over Kittie who, to me, seemed like a total gimmick band. Drain STH - Crave: youtu.be/b3zgv0_q5jIDRAIN STH - DOWN: youtu.be/tYXjkQ4YPmg

Limp Bizkit was always too happy, or cocky, or whatever. I was contemplating suicide back when I was 10, so the bleakness of Korn always suited me. I'm a huge Nine Inch Nails fan, as well, lol.

Korn... man did any of y'all have that ONE buddy who thought after listening to Follow the Leader he'd be a guitar player and just strummed horrible in Drop D tune because that was the "realest" tuning?

Nope, but a lot of guys wanted that 7 string with the low B. To be honest, I thought Korn did it well, for the time. The imitators ruined it, though.

Just realized I stopped putting language warnings, on these vids, about two pages ago. Can we just assume no one under 13 is reading this thread?

I thought I was gonna be a big star vocalist at the time, headlining the Family Values Tour (which, at the time was at least entertaining the idea of being an annual tour). I wrote a bunch of lyrics back then that I'd be embarrassed to look at nowadays. Just lyrics. I had no musical talent to actually write a full song.
Ugh, enough about me:

Y'know what? Screw this, let's start a nu metal band and bring this shit back! My parents are pissing me off, and I'm depressed, let's make it happen!
