Disappointing to hear. Indeed, though it did give rise to Julien-K, whose first album Death to Analog continued the progression of the sound of Orgy's first two albums, before heading into a more new wave/Euro-synth style for their second album. Well worth checking out for anybody who even had a passing liking of Orgy.

I always lumped Orgy into the nu metal genre because the band started out as Videodrone, with Jonathan Davis.

^Orgy was around prominently sooner, this is a resurrected side project with separate band's members.
EDIT: I worded that funny, yeah Orgy came second but Videodrome didn't hit any real prominence until after Orgy's ascension. Shame too.

They were both on Korns Elementree record label in the late 90s. Hence, Davis making appearances on both albums. I still own that Videodrone album, it's not bad. One of my favorite memories from high school was seeing them and Orgy together. It was the first concert I ever went with a group of friends from school and no parents being around. Good times were had.

On to Korn and side projects just wanna throw out the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. Pretty much Nu Metal paradise there.

Could've sworn Jonathan was in a version of the band before he joined Korn. And the record was the culmination of Korn breaking big and started the label, I could be wrong, though.

I believe Jonathan Davis' band before Korn was called Sexart or something like that. Now if that band minus Davis became Videodrone I couldn't tell ya. Certainly a possibility. I'm going to look into that.

Regardless, they were all part of a musician Orgy (ha!).

Anyone remember when the singer from low-level nu metal band, Snot, died and the titans of the genre all got together, in tribute?

Regardless, they were all part of a musician Orgy (ha!). Nice. All those bands from So-Cal during that time period were real tight. Korn, Deftones, Snot, Incubus (which reminds S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is a underrated masterpiece of funk/rock fusion) all came up together. Still amazes me that they let a tool like Fred Durst hang out with them.
