Don't think I've ever been so embarrassed to be a Celtic fan right now. Even the 5-0 skelping off Artmedia Bratislava was at least done by a professional club. Efe Ambrose needs put out to pasture NOW. The fact that he's somehow managed to con THREE Celtic managers in a row into believing he's a professional footballer is ridiculous. Scott Brown is coasting on reputation at this point, his knees are absolutely knackered and his best days are behind them. And if Espanyol is seriously wanting to pay £8 to £10 million for Nir Bitton then I will personally fly him over to Spain myself. Brendan Rodgers isn't getting off the hook either. Ambrose playing the full 90 minutes and James Forrest (a guy who spat the dummy out when offered a new contract last year) coming on instead of Patrick Roberts is an utter joke. Leigh Griffiths is a straight No. 9, I'm not sure he's a guy who can play on the wing with Dembele. I appreciate him trying to say this isn't an embarrassment, but it is. It's embarrassing for Celtic Football Club, it's embarrassing for Scottish football, it's embarrassing for every Celtic fan and it's embarrassing for every Scottish football fan. If I was him, I'd be giving an absolute bollocking to half the team that was on that pitch. I'll be going to the second leg at Celtic Park next week, my first appearance at a Celtic game in 12 years. I'm expecting Celtic to just plough through the Imps and even then, questions MUST be asked of the squad that's in that dressing room especially for the next round IF we get there, which is something I didn't think I'd be typing until I finished watching that match. A clean out must be in order. Having said that, well done to Lincoln Red Imps. Best result in their history, and I didn't realise we had a Lincoln fan on here. Mr Jenzie, congrats on your team's result. Just too bad it had to be my team you got that result from.

I fully endorse any and all pelters thrown at Celtic for the next week. All those players ought to give their wages to the Red Imps team. That would genuinely be life changing for them.

Even though Celtic lost on the night to a part-time club, I'm seeing a lot of people online who seem to have forgotten there's a second leg still to come. Yes, they should be comfortably beating teams like that in both legs but it's not quite the end of the world yet. And I'm a Rangers fan. Should they go out on aggregate though, then it's equally disastrous and hilarious.

Jordan Ibe is going to Bournemouth for a price that's 5 million pounds more than what Payet went to West Ham for. I can just see that shit-eating grin on Klopp's face right now.
Speaking of our friends in Claret and Blue from East London, they were in my neck of the woods in North Carolina playing the local divsion 2 team, the Carolina Railhawks. I went with my dad and had a hell of a time. It was a very good game as well to be fair. It ended 2-2.
A few interesting points from the match,
1. Winston Reid put the ball in both nets within the first 15 minutes of the game. I regret not getting a picture of him after the own-goal looking into the distance thinking "Thank f*** this is not on Sky and NBC right now." I did, however, nearly get a picture of Slaven Bilić looking like he's about to storm out there and brutally murder Reid right in the middle of pitch.
2. Andy Carroll is a really tall f*****. I knew that already but, you never know just how tall or how big someone is until you see them live. It reminded me of how shocked I was at the true size of Mark Henry a few years ago when he was in Raleigh for a Smackdown taping.
3. There was a large group of American West Ham fans on the other side of where My dad and I were sitting and, they were fantastic. They knew every single, solitary song that supporters sing on a weekly basis in the Prem. Forever Blowing Bubbles, West Ham's Claret and Blue army, Over Land and Sea. You name it. I even heard the old Chim Chiminee song that was sung back in the days of the Inter-City firm which made me do a serious double take. Well done to them on that one. They did their homework and then some. Though, to be fair, the Carolina supporters were just as rowdy. Their style is a combination of the English way of cleverly changing lyrics of popular songs to fit their team, and the South American way of making constant noise, having instruments, and lighting flares after every goal. it was a fantastic atmosphere all-around.
4. West Ham played their youth subs and reserves in the second half and let me tell you, for their sake, I hope there isn't an Arsenal-like injury crisis at the Olympic Stadium this year because some of these guys are NOT ready. Like, at all. They constantly gave the ball away and conceded an ungodly stupid handball penalty that allowed Carolina to equalize.
5. Carolina teased a major announcement at halftime. I thought it would be something like the attendance record or a new sponsor. Boy, was I wrong. They ended up introducing Omar Bravo as their newest signing. Omar Bravo holds the goal-scoring record for the second largest club in Mexico, Chivas Guadalajara. He also has accumulated 71 caps and 15 goals for the Mexican national team, including helping them win the 2002 and 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Needless to say, I was not expecting that. It seems to me that Carolina wants to be the new Orlando City. The NASL dynasty that becomes so good, they're picked up for MLS. Best of luck to them.
All in all, it was a great time and I hope the Railhawks can make something like that happen again with another major team.

Domestic Scottish football has returned as the Betfred Cup (former Scottish League Cup) kicks off tonight. BT Sport carrying coverage of Arbroath v Dundee United with the game 0-0 at half time, followed by Motherwell v Rangers tomorrow afternoon.
Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibernian automatically go through to the last 16 since they're playing in Europe.

Did a double take when I came across the name of Houston Dynamo's interim head coach... Wade Barrett. Not the same one, unfortunately.

I wonder if Vardy is regretting his decision to not to stay now that Kante has gone and Mahrez is reportedly leaving?

TFC just lost to the Earthquakes who were on nine men from the 53rd.
For a team with a 10-year history of general incompetence, this could be rock bottom.

Demba Ba incurred what's being described as a career-threatening leg break in a Chinese Super League match today.
