Take my advice: Don't watch it. Where is it on the Sid scale? It's around Henrik Larsson's leg break on it.

It really was a horrid leg break, one of the worst I've seen. Not as ghastly as David Buust in 96 but close.
Hope he comes back from it what a horrible way to end a career.

David Busst is still the benchmark for horrific leg breaks IMO. Sid's is pretty gruesome but Busst's was so bad it made the opposing goalie vomit and they had to brush the blood off the grass afterwards. I saw a pic of his leg a few years ago after all the various surgeries he's had on it and it looks awful. He's lucky he's able to walk.

Didn't he get a MRSA, which is a big reason for his leg to look like it does today?

Reportedly Demba Ba's first words after waking up from the operation to put his leg back together: "Did we win?"
The man's a pro.

Demba Ba is one tough guy.
All good things had to come to an end for Indy, as they had their undefeated streak snapped Saturday at Minnesota.

Yeah I was going to ask how it compared to David Busst's leg break. I'll never forget the reaction of Peter Schmeichel when he ran away covering his eyes.

Norwich City have signed Northern Ireland goalkeeper Michael McGovern on a three year deal after McGovern's contract with Hamilton Academical expired.
Not a total shock that McGovern ended up going to Norwich considering Alex Neil used to be the manager of Hamilton Accies, so hopefully he'll do well at his new club.
Tony Watt (AKA the lad who scored the winning goal against Barcelona for Celtic in the Champions League a few years ago) is reportedly going on loan to Hearts from Charlton Athletic. I've always liked Watt, if he sorts out his attitude he could become a quality striker.
And finally according to Sky Italy, Manchester United are looking to bid 104 million euros to Juventus for the services of Paul Pogba.

I guess I'll blame Ed Woodward, but it seems that United's transfer business gets dragged out like no other team's on the planet.
Today, it's Pogba, but before it was Sergio Ramos and Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas and Marco Reus and the list goes on.
I thought that it would change under Mourinho, but it hasn't. Make a bid or don't and if it's rejected, move on.

The guy is massively out of his depth. The thing that most annoys me about Woodward is the ego that comes with his transfer targets. Under Ferguson there was this real emphasis placed on promising youngsters that weren't necessarily the finished article, but had the potential to be World Class with a little TLC, as well as a strong leaning towards British players when compared to the other major Premier League sides. Since Woodward took charge though, United's transfer policy has been solely based around getting the biggest and most high-profile players regardless of whether they were able to fit into the side, and doing so by spending huge amounts of money in a way Fergie seldom did. There is no way the likes of Di Maria, Felliani, Zlatan or Bastian would have come to United if Fergie was in charge.

Of all the things United have missed since Ferguson retired, his ability to coach individuals is the biggest thing. As said above, he had a gift of turning potential into actual and United really could use that now. Mourinho is very good but Fergie was something else.

I agree with the general premise but I think Fergie would absolutely have signed Di Maria given half a chance. Difference is, if Fergie was still manager Di Maria would still be at United, as an integral part of the team.

Don't forget two of Fergie's best ever players, Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo, were from France and Portugal respectively. Fergie could go with foreign players if they were of a quality standard.

Fergie could go with foreign players if they were of a quality standard. Yeah, but Ronaldo was a kid at the time, he was buying the future, not international superstar Ronaldo. And Cantona was offered to them on the cheap because the guy was such an asshole pretty much IIRC. It'd be like being offered Suarez for £10 million these days you'd be silly not to try it. Another thing Fergie brought, the personal touch. You hear stories of him going to people's houses to win them over for a transfer, it wasn't just a business thing, he made players feel like they were specifically wanted and needed by the club.

L'Equipe reporting that United and Juve have reached a world-record deal for Paul Pogba for the staggering price of €120M.
Mourinho's United has the potential to be quite something this season.

Someone please justify this to me. 120 million euros...how? Honestly, the only way you could justify that kind of money if you were getting someone of Messi or Ronaldo's quality at age 20-21 and know that they would have the kind of career those two have had. And even that's a stretch.

I will make the argument that money is relative in football. Signing Maradona in '84 cost Napoli £6.9 million which was a lot (world record, actually) relative to that period but would only buy you (just over) half a Matt Richie nowadays.
That being said when Real Madrid are supposedly shipping James Rodriguez around for a price in the region of £60 million, Paul Pogba going for £100 million is absolutely nuts. I love my Serie A football and don't let his poor performances in the Euro's or pundits talking about how he's not as good as he's made out to be fool you - Paul Pogba is one hell of a player. But he's not £40 million better than James Rodriguez. In fact, I'd rather have James Rodriguez in my side than Paul Pogba. I honestly don't understand why United would pay that much for him. He's good, but he's not that good.
