I personally enjoy the Sonic Boom Cartoon Robotnik (Or Eggman, whatever)
I honestly quite enjoy the whole frenemie thing he has going with Sonic and how an evil villain just walks around town casually with everyone else.
I also liked how when he was defeated one time after explaining his plan instead of doing the usual "NOO Curse you Sonic I'll get you next time" he just went "Yeah I really gotta learn to stop doing that"
I dunno, I've just always liked a Villain with a sense of humour.

Ah Sonic I always loved the blue blur but you know I would really liked it if the Archie Freedom Fighters would get some love from Sega and make an Sonic and the Freedom fighter game heck it would be a lot more interesting than a Shadow the Hedgehog game At one point, Sonic Boom was supposed to have Sally Acorn instead of Sticks. And they made the right decision, because nobody is better than Sticks the F'n Badger. |

Sure he was the version that was successful in conquering the world..........when Sonic was 5. Once Sonic & cohorts were old enough to fight him they were f***ing up power generators & secret weapons factories left & right & he does jack all to stop it. He even starts falling into the same gimmicky shit he's more comedic selfs would pull: trapping Sonic in a giant pinball machine or challenging Sonic to a race with his robo-cheetah. & this is all while considering Sonic himself never seems to realize he can just destroy swatbots en masse like in the games. Seriously I think there's like ONE instance of Sonic straight up wrecking an enemy bot. Show would've ended a lot sooner if Sonic actually used his speed & buzzsaw to decimate Robotropolis' security right away. Hell, why even use swatbots at all instead of robians as his footsoldiers? Robotnik made it completely guilt-free for the FFs to destroy his forces when they would be far more hesitant to attack robians. But dat Jim Cummings man, you say no to Jimmy. |

If they have to have another Sonic game where a new villain usurps the antagonist role, I'd love for it to be an Eggman created robot (ala Metal Sonic) named Robotnik with Cummings voice. Would be a fun nostalgia trip with great potential for some back and forth between Cummings and Mike Pollock.

If he were to be voiced by Jim Cummings, I imagine him sounding more like Darkwing Duck or Cat from CatDog instead of the deep Robotnik voice. I honestly wish Jim Cummings could play Bowser with his Pete voice. |
