I thought I read like a year ago that Orlando Bloom was coming back for this one, yet his name isn't in the credits.

I thought I read like a year ago that Orlando Bloom was coming back for this one, yet his name isn't in the credits. At a pinch I'd guess he only has a small cameo, so leaving him from the credits would make sense. Brenton Thwait's playing his son, and the plot revolves heavily around his search for his father, so an appearance during the third act seems likely. |

Will Turner has vanished. Geez, Disney, hasn't even been a year yet, man... That said, I did appreciate the Black Pearl vibe of this trailer. And I had no idea this would be Javier Bardem's character, so we can expect him to have fun......which seems like a goddamn delight.  |

I'm intrigued. Bardem looks cool. Great teaser with a nice mood.
But the last one... one of the top 3 franchise killers for me.

Am I the only person on the planet who's never been taken by this franchise? It's always felt like it. No! I regrettably went to one of them with a friend back in 2006 when visiting a friend in California. Never had I been so bored at the movies. It just kept dragging. Nearly walked out but didn't want to start a arguement later. Won't make that mistake again. |
