Each and every person that wasn't white that came thru Rougeau's got handed a stereotypical gimmick.
Du Rag James is a son of Bahamian immigrants. He was made a rapper.
Manuel Villagos is probably the next big leaguer to come out of Rougeau Gym. He's Portuguese. But latino is latino, he made him a masked luchadore called Manix when he got characterised last July. But he is truly awesome, you'll see him in the States eventually.
He's got a lousy handle on geopolitics. He tried to make proud Arab Jews Simon & Isaac Shemin muslim militants/terrorists. Simon took it and morphed it into a militant rapper of sorts before quiting wrestling. Isaac fought it and refused to do it but since he looks like a million bucks and ended up actually becoming good in the ring, Rougeau eventually gave him a "Model" gimmick, really similar to Milano AT. Which worked out fine.
3-4 years ago, two big & tall brothers from either Algeria or Morocco signed up. I want to say they are the Abad Brothers, but I frankly forget the names. So, when he characterized them last year, Jacques made them terrorists and they actually went for it, they got the black cloaks and face masks and the militant promos and all... people got offended, Jacques blamed his upbringings (which he also did when he was accused of homophobia and mysogyny...) and now the Abads have KEPT THE TERRORIST GARB, but are now friendly to the fans. Which is a total mindf***.

Not that you don't have a good argument, but you kinda forgot Booker T yeah, Booker T, the 0 time, 0 time, 0 time, 0 time, 0 time WWE champion. He and Mark Henry both won the WHC LONG after it was established as the one that doesn't matter. I think the prejudice here was not skin color, but past employment, when it comes to Booker.

Sabu went on a tirade on Twitter calling people the N word (The worst version). It's still on his account.
Hania the Howling Huntress alluding to racism is being held against her and others in pro wrestling before basically retiring to become a fitness model.
A number of current and former ROH black wrestlers mentioning that they ran into problems with management when it came to issues of race discrimination. Let's not forget the former Cabinet getting attacked by babyfaces while protesting like Colin Kaepernick before matches.

Also the fact that he thought it would be ok to say the n word in a promo, makes him a racist in the same level as Watts in my opinion. I wouldn't go that far. In the promo itself, the joke isn't merely Vince dropping an n-bomb, the punchline is "Vince McMahon is out of touch to the point where he thought it's OK to drop an n-bomb." Cutting to Booker afterwards saying "Tell me he didn't just say that" shows that, in the WWE universe, it's bad for white people to drop n-bombs, and Vince is an idiot for doing so. It's no different than Will Ferrell's Robert Goulet character dropping N-Bombs in the classic "Coconut Bangers' Ball" sketch. That's VASTLY different from Watts in a shoot interview saying he shouldn't have to serve black people if he doesn't want to. That's a real life wanton casually unfiltered declaration of racism. Just saying, of all the real life questionable racially insensitive moments in the business, I wouldn't even call the 2005 Vince promo 25 material.

Wasn't Jessica Havok revealed as a racist? Which might make visits to the LU locker room uncomfortable.

Vincent Kennedy McMahon. 5. Thinking that all of his african american talent look the same and not even bothering to learn their names. I will defend Vince on this point, he's a 70 year old man who reportedly doesn't sleep and has seen hundreds of talent come and go in the past 10 years, he's sent guys who aren't on the payroll out to do things in the ring because they're there and generally behaves erratically so mixing up people's names is kind of to be expected. I have little doubt he's done that with lowercard talent a hundred times or more, regardless of race. I've also heard rumors of him having terrible eye sight in the last few years

Remember that one time where a black wrestler touched Vince on air and he wanted to fire him, and suspended him through Wrestlemania.

HHH saying people like Booker T don't deserve to be world champion and then actually beating him in the title match.
The story ended with the racist winning. Jesus Christo.

Triple H exclusively referred to Ricardo Rodriguez as "Bumblebee" in reference to Bumblebee Man from The Simpsons. The original Sin Cara also claimed just about everyone on the writing team was racist against latinos, though he also called them gringos when he said it.
Mark Henry was asked to start calling himself "The Silverback," but he had to turn it down because it was offensive as shit.
Aliyah from NXT made several Instagram posts referring to a black wrestler she used to work with as her slave. She also said some racist shit on Twitter she pinned on her sister, which may have been true. The Insta stuff was definitely her, though.

Mark Henry was asked to start calling himself "The Silverback," but he had to turn it down because it was offensive. Was this separate from his 2006 Smackdown run? Because I remember everyone, including Henry himself, using that term.

He and Mark Henry both won the WHC LONG after it was established as the one that doesn't matter. Mark Henry, eh, maybe. Booker I really disagree, as champion he won the Champion of Champions match against the WWE and ECW champions and he lost the title in the main-event of Survivor Series. It was maybe not prioritized as high as the WWE title but the World title was still treated as genuine.

The original name for Kaientai in the WWF was Club Kamakazi....eh ya.
Also speaking of World War 2 Japanese stereotypes, the original gimmick for Kenzo Suzuki was going to be Hirohito.

There has to be something said about the total lack of black people winning the WWE championship, aside from the Rock, where Vince's boner for the Anoai family trumps it. The lack of Brits winning a WWE title I can put down to circumstance, but no black people? come on. This is why I think all three members of New Day have peaked as singles wrestlers and none of them will go on to main event level when it ends like some people speculate.

Vince doesn't keep track of who is and isn't on the payroll, that's not a racist thing, that's Vince only really caring about the top 10% of his wrestlers, see the Jimmy Yang rehiring, or vince demanding that James Curtis be hired after seeing him in a dark match, despite the guy being under contract for several years at that point and so on and so forth. Vince was 100% behind the New Day even when the fans hated their act and had enough faith to let them find their feet when people here were yelling about how they should be split immediately, heck, he supposedly wanted Big E to be the next guy pushed a the face of the company until Triple H got in his ear about Reigns. I'm not saying Vince isn't a little racist, but I don't think he's in the same ballpark as guys like Bill Watts or Jarrett. Vince didn't confuse those Jimmy and Curtis. McMahon confuses black talent names in more than one ocassion. Also the fact that he thought it would be ok to say the n word in a promo, makes him a racist in the same level as Watts in my opinion. To be fair, I confuse people's names based on traits (race, hair color, style of dress) all the time. Maybe he's just stupid like I am.

Ricardo is pudgy but still did highflying spots. Henry didn't turn it down. Hell in interviews, Henry stated he was all for the Silverback name, because gorillas are bad ass, and actually said something that he hates that black people can only be limited to being referred to certain animals for fear of it being called racist. which I mean more power too him... but yeah... someone should have realized that Silverback was going to run into problems.

You never hear stories of him calling guys like Bam Bam Bigelow or Vader Bumblebee, only people like Ricardo, Super Crazy or Savio Vega who wasn't what most people would consider a high flier. If it's just hispanic men he's calling that, whch it seems to be, then it's hard to see it as anything but racist. ADR also all but named him as the member of WWE management that would causally crack racist jokes about hispanic wrestlers.
