Bruno laid the foundations for what allowed the WWE to become what it is today. RIP

What else can I add to all of what's surely above? Well, when I was starting to watch my dad (also RIP) always talked about him of course.
What's eerie is both HOFers we all thought would never work with WWE again are both gone. Quick, let's collect all the tears in our eyes and build a moat to protect Bret, stat.

My grandfather, father, uncle and grandmother's favorite wrestler. I was almost named after him. He is the epitome of hard work, survival, dedication, honor, and devotion. Humble beyond words and such a great man. I am legit sad over this.

I was on vacation last week and watched the 2 long videos dedicated to the Bruno-Larry feud; from the first time Zbyszko asked for the match, through the encounters, matches, promos. Concluding in the infamous cage.
I can honestly surmise this is one of the greatest feuds ever done. And Bruno could cut a promo like a master. He'd start by softly setting up the story, get angrier as he explained what he will do. By the end, he's ready to tear the ring ropes in half and strangle poor VKM standing next to him.
Anybody who has ever watched the WWF at any time should pay this man a debt of gratitude and a "Thank You".
Rest in peace to the Superman of a generation. You will be remembered.

His hard work and ability opened many doors for many people to enjoy, and make a living, from this crazy world of escapism we call professional wrestling. Without Bruno, the landscape would be so much different
Thank you Bruno. RIP

Man. I just let out an audible groan at this.
What an absolutely crucial part of pro wrestling history he was, and even more so for WWE in general.
RIP and thank you.

Wow. You know...I knew it would happen eventually, but I also kind of thought it never would.
RIP to a true legend.

RIP Bruno. He was the face of the WWWF in it's early days and without him, who knows where the wrestling industry would be? He was a great wrestler in the ring and a great man outside of it. I'm glad that he was able to make peace with the WWE and take his rightful spot in it's Hall of Fame.
This news took me by surprise because he always looked to be in very good health. I thought he would live to be a lot older than 82. RIP to the real Living Legend!

The street that I grew up on was only a few streets down from where Bruno lived. Don’t worry, I never peeked through his hedges like Larry Zbyszko did but I did pass by his house when the weather was nice and I took a walk through the neighborhood. I remember when WWE was in town for Raw right around Bruno’s birthday; he made a surprise appearance and we all sang Happy Birthday to him.
I had the honor of meeting him at Axxess in 2014. A true gentleman and still sharp as a tack at 78. RIP, sir.

One of my heroes is gone...Thanks to the internet, I was able to see his matches and listen to his words and I gained a ton of respect for him both inside and outside the ring.
I am at a loss for words because I feel a part of the wrestling side of me is forever gone.
Rest in peace Bruno and thank you for all that you've done for the sport.

I won't pretend I was a legitimate fan of his, he was at least two decades before my time, but my god, talk about one of the major load-bearing beams of wrestling history. And, from all accounts, nothing less than a class act as a human being. You will be missed, sir.
