Eeh, not sure I can die with you on this hill, Hitman. I wish Martha would let WWE honor Owen more blatantly, I really do. Let her kids SEE the genuine love people had for their dad. But....ultimately, she's his widow, and their mother, and it's her call, no one else's.

Sad situation all round. Martha had her heart ripped out when Owen Hart died.
I can also see Bret's side in that Owen should be remembered and honoured in wrestling circles, a place every one loved him.
It's also sad he's never been allowed to meet Owen's kids since the accident, and offer support and guidance in life that Owen cannot. As a brother, he wanted to tell them of the man their father was, as Bret practically raised him.
Neither is wrong, however, no need for name calling.

I don't understand why Bret seems to be angry with WWE about it. If they could induct him, they already would have.

I just watched Bret's first appearance on Nitro after Owen's passing and it really drove home just how close those two were. They were more than brothers. They were best friends. I don't think either party here is right or wrong. It's unfortunately a muddy situation where the two people who were closest to Owen have extremely different ideas about how to treat his legacy and they have not been able to reconcile them. It's sad and I don't blame Bret for being vocal about it just as I wouldn't blame Martha for anything she has done.

Eh, I get where he is coming from, but I guess that is a thing she can't get over.
Personally, I'd think it would likely be better for her and the family if she did let him go in the HoF and maybe even find some peace through the outpouring of love the fans would have for it.
It's a sad situation all round. I dont think either side is right or wrong. It just is what it is at this point.

Would it be a great moment for fans and some of his family to see Owen inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame? Sure, but in this particular situation it's really hard for me to fault Martha and their children for feeling the way that they do and having the final say on this. I'm not sure my stance would be much different than theirs if it was my spouse or father who died the way that he did.

I think both the Hart family and Martha are completely justified in their positions. Just wish there was some way to make both sides happy.
