It was when he discovered his comedy voice that he became George Carlin.

Sarah Silverman went from using racist jokes and imagery in her act and tv show to all of a sudden becoming more socially conscious and regretting her past material. Though I still side eye her for the blackface bit she did on her tv show. You could say the same about Jimmy Kimmel. Down to the blackface. Maybe those two should of never split, they belong to one another. J-Law went from "quirky, awkward, relatable" to "pompous, defensive, mean". A slight shift in the quality of her movie picks too, but still somewhat quality. Harrison Ford went from absolutely shunning his old fan favorite roles ...to embracing them. Methinks for the fans ($$$$$$$$$$$$) Pitt went from uber stoner dude to chill dad dude. Leo went, a long time ago, from talented teeny bopper to somewhat-reclusive and private refined actor.

Yeah, Jimmy Kimmel changed a LOT over the last few years, though I think a big part of that had to do with the things he went through with his sick kid. That has a tendency to change your perspectives on life.

Everyone who's been around more than five years, and especially anyone who's "before" half was as a kid or teen (see: Cyrus, Miley).

Did anyone predict Jenny McCarthy’s transformation from ‘90s sex symbol/MTV dating show host/WrestleMania 11 guest star to one of the most visible figures in the anti-vaccine movement? Show of hands.

Dennis Rodman went from hustling rebounding/defensive role player to weirdo hustling rebounding/defensive role player out to get any and all publicity to weirdo guy that sometimes hangs out with Kim Jong Un.
Somewhat similarly Mike Tyson went from easy target public enemy number one with a super short fuse to respected and fairly normal former boxing champ as he got older.

I'm on the fence about her...mostly cause she liked some of my tweets. And she hasn't become a train wreck...yet. But on the other hand, she has this pattern of brushing off "less clothes = less control" arguments as body shaming. How sincere she is, who can say? And yeah....Alex Dunphy is such a cool character (for a nerd) it's disappointing to learn she's nothing like that. BTW I thought she got that surgery so people STOPPED looking at her?

It was when he discovered his comedy voice that he became George Carlin. My grandma was over and saw I had George Carlin DVDs. She says “Oh, I like him”. I thought that was really weird, I can’t imagine anything he would have said she found funny. Then I realized she was remembering those earliest Ed Sullivan and Michael Douglas shows.

I forget who it was, maybe Kevin Smith, who told a story about watching a Carlin show and seeing an older couple in the audience and being surprised; and them talking like your grandma about liking him back when--then George opened the set talking about queefing.
