Everyone goes through changes of some sort, but sometimes people's ideals and values change and they stop doing certain things (or start) and they're somehow different. Sometimes you can pinpoint where things kinda changed and maybe their output wasn't as good professionally, or maybe things were better than before.
I was reading about Chas Smash from Madness who left the band about 4 years ago after a bitter divorce and he's more calm now and not really the guy that jumped and danced onstage anymore, not that he isn't capable, but I don't think we'll see him onstage anymore.
What are some that you can think of?

RDJ - reckless, irresponsible party guy with a spiralling drug habit and legal problems in the '80s and '90s. Sober philanthropist who practices a Buddhist lifestyle from 2003 onwards.

Sarah Silverman went from using racist jokes and imagery in her act and tv show to all of a sudden becoming more socially conscious and regretting her past material. Though I still side eye her for the blackface bit she did on her tv show.

If you told me 30 years ago that James Woods would turn out to be the James Woods of today, I would have been rather surprised.

Axl Rose, going from super moody, showing up mega late, and sometimes walking off stage. To now, he reunites with Slash, joins AC/DC, shows always start on time. Axl has had zero incidents since this Slash reunion started in 2016. And Axl is surprisingly singing Slither from Velvet Revolver on the current tour which absolutely nobody saw him and his ego ever doing.

Johnny Depp's descent from consistently great actor with distinctive style and personality into eye roll worthy caricatured parody of himself happened so slowly, I didn't even notice.

He also is a meticulous note keeper and very thorough when crediting people on his albums. That surprised me.
