For the longest time people of excused the fans of hijacking Roman Reigns matches because they have the right to show displeasure at something people shoving down their throats, well at ER's the fans hijacked a match of a guy they are supposed to like. Doesn't this prove that whoever the WWE pushes they fans will hijack any random match to get themselves over because they are assholes?

No, it shows that four hour random b-level shows where there's barely anything good to talk about will bore and irritate a crowd into entertaining themselves.

You're right WWE should just stop having shows then, wrestling fans are never happy and the worst and smell like butts.

Imagine spending good money to go to a show that had little to no effort put into it and being told that "you're bad fans" for not enjoying it.

Yeah, he couldn't even work a three way with Steve Rogers and Peter Parker without having to take a twenty minute nap under the ring; and if Cap and spidey can't get you over you ain't got no place in wrestling.

These are the same people who keep complaining that Rocket is too small to main event, despite being one of the most popular Marvel babyfaces.

Nah you want to talk about Stark's problems? Let's talk f***ing backstage politics. James Rhodes starts to get over doing his own thing, and what does Tony do? Makes him his f***ing sidekick and gives him a gimmick that's just "Iron Man's friend who does what Iron Man does too". It's crap, he just didn't want to get overshadowed at all. Then who gets booked to survive what Thanos does? All the old buddies he got hired in the f***ing first place, and Rocket I guess just because he knows if they don't have top babyface Rocket in there the fans will revolt. Everyone else who's gotten over is just gone now. It's Hogan-era TNA all over again. Spidey showed Tony up, and once he realized he couldn't control the guy and make him a Little Buddy like he did Rhodey, dude had the bookers write him off the show for a year to cool off. Black Panther? Dude was #1 merch seller, he was a massive success, set to a bigger draw than Tony ever was. Poof.

I don't think WWE should get a pass for putting on mediocre shows though. When something is good, people react accordingly.

Was there even that much of a problem? Yeah they did the silly countdown and buzzer, but they still responded to the match didn't they?
They weren't doing the Roman main event thing and chanting for the announcers and Randy Savage and CM Punk and beach balls and anything other than the match at hand.
But I'm a guy who thinks shaking the fist at live crowds is one of the silliest things message board peeps do, so what do I know?

It almost as if the fans and WWE are in a dysfunctional/toxic marriage, with audiences paying money to just to mock the product in person and WWE seemingly going out of its way to not send the crowds home happy or even give them a decent string of match finishes without some nonsense.
At this rate, Wrestlemania 35 will be the live event equivalent to "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?".

The issue with the Ironman match is that it wasn't in a vacuum. It was after 3.5 hours of weird finishes with only one match that I would consider good to great. It was just a culmination of dissatisfaction (among other problems with the actual match).

I find the existence of this thread hilarious, as we can't even have threads for lives shows on here without half the posters going off-topic and posting random crap because they're bored.
No, the fans aren't "part of the problem" - they're responding to the problem.

I don't think they should either but if the live crowds just want to do stuff like this, how is WWE supposed to know what is working. That is why I am saying it is a one night thing so there is no reason to look too much into it. Crowds burn out and over the course of 5 or 6 of what at best was a mediocre show only makes the situation worse and that is all on WWE to make changes. However, if they make these changes and the vast majority of the people in the crowd are doing this say 3, 4, 5, 6 months down the line no matter who is in the match or the stories being told then the crowd has to be considered as an issue, IMO.

I don't consider chanting this match sucks, boring etc 1 minute into a match like Jinder Mahal Roman Reigns match responding to any problem. Just people with horrible social skills and no respect.
