Disagree with OP.
The Women's rumble was better than the men's for the second straight year. There was nothing mind-blowing about it, but it felt like an old school Rumble with a full ring, lots of action between the ropes, very little napping on the outside, and it had a good "moment" (albeit annoying) with Becky subbing for Lana. It was a fun match, and not every Rumble needs to be 1992. 1991 was a great Rumble also, and that's how this one felt to me.

I liked the womens Rumble this year. Saw some people I had no idea who they were (Evans, the Chinese women, Reah) but after seeing what they brought, I want more.

1: Becky Lynch: Totally over and won 2: Charlotte Flair: Totally over, was a legit threat and played her role well. 3: Alexa Bliss: Top name, is over and had her comeback. 4: Nia Jax: Top name, poses a threat and gets heat. 5: Ember Moon: Upcoming face who had a good showing. 6: Mandy Rose: Upcoming heel who had her own storyline progressed 7: Naomi: Involved in a storyline that got progressed. 8: Zelina Vega: Shenanigans added variety to the match 9: Carmella: Had a decent showing and is getting over with fans 10: Kairi Sane: Upcoming face who had a sequence with Charlotte 11: Io Shirai: Well-known international star/signee who got exposure 12: Candice LeRae: Well-known independent star/signee who got exposure 13: Rhea Ripley: Former NXT UK champ who got exposure 14: Xia Li: New signee who got exposure 15: Kacy Catanzaro: New signee who got exposure
Yeah, I'm not going to do the rest. Point is, this match accomplished a lot.

It had a great ending but imo the match was pretty much treading water until the Becky comeback spot. I think the bells and whistles last year really help make it special. This year didn't have that feeling before Becky came back to babyface as good as anyone has ever babyfaced.

The main issue was having Natalya as the Iron Woman/ring general, despite that, the last 20 mins of the Rumble were great, there was a lot of tension when Charlotte and Becky were the final 2, I will give props to the E for that.

Maybe cut it down to 20? There was a lot of filler, but I still enjoyed it. I think Lacey Evans is green.... but I think she has a ton of potential. Her character could be Gold, IMO.

Also, Toni Storm was in Phoenix... I wonder why they didn't use her?

I think two chances, only one of which was actually building anything rather than a showcase of legends, is not enough when you are building something.
Not booking the women because nobody cares about them is not going to make people care about them more. These things take time.

If you think a mediocre rumble is enough to trash the entire concept, the men's rumble should've been gone when it was a shit show for like four years straight back in 2014.

Two rumbles in one ppv is A bit of a chore

I only caught the final third of the match but I enjoyed what I saw. That said, I do think doing two Rumble matches on one show is major over-kill and they'd be better off doing the Women's Rumble as a separate Network special or something.

I felt like it went a bit too long, but you can't get rid of it now, the optics (which are what would matter to the McMahons) would be horrible.

The idea of being over a "women's Rumble match" concept sounds so f***ed up to say.

Yeah 2 years is enough let's wrap it up. Two rumbles in one ppv is A bit of a chore Seriously though there is absolutely no reason they shouldn't start with 1 rumble and end with the other.

I think I’m over the men’s Rumble concept. Despite last night’s great ending (Big John Studd proving to Ted DiBiase that not everything's got a price), I’m already feeling as if it has run its course. Idk if it was the novelty of it last year, but this year the crowd was burnt out and bored until Hogan. It’s not the guys fault, and I do feel somewhat guilty typing this but unless it improves in importance (like maybe winning an actual prize for winning a glorified bloated battle royal), I don’t think it’s worth it.

I think the problem is it is overkill to have two 30 entrant rumble matches on one show. It labours the concept and two over hour long matches is a big ask for any audience. The show lasted five hours - and that is just far too long. Three hours is more than enough for any wrestling show and they need to learn that sometimes less is more.
I think they should still have one, I just don’t think it should be on the same night as the men’s. Reducing number of entrants is an option but I think that probably detracts from it a bit - like I always think Duggan’s win is tarnished because there were only 20 entrants
