There’s maybe a dozen workers in the women’s division across all the brands that are capable of working within a rumble type match. The rest are either green or just not very good. I mean, it’s clearly a work in progress - to me it should have gone first but obviously they couldn’t do that and book the Becky finish.

Go watch again
While it was long, it served its purpose. Last year was about celebrating which included bringing back legends so they can say they were in the 1st. The 2nd one was about the future and they gave spotlight to a lot of their young women while also furthering story lines like Mandy and Naomi. Xia looked great, Kaci looked great, Io got a great spot, Kairi looked great and stood up against Charlotte, Lacey Evans got a big spotlight and shined etc.......
While it dragged the first half due to just they structured it, when you look at it in totality they had a goal and focused in on it and made it work. People complain about the women don't get time to show their shit, well they got 3 spotlight matches at the Rumble which all were good at the very least with Asuka/Becky being the MOTN.
I think a good amount of these women who weren't known will be bigger names in a few years and they absolutely showed they had talent. My only nitpick is they need to work on more memorable entrance type themes for some of the women because some of them I was completely lose on who it is coming out

Also no women’s Rumble can possibly be worse than the 2015 Royal Rumble in terms of making everyone involved look like the worse possible 30 people you could assemble.
Like...f*** that Rumble. It’s so bad I’m still not over it.

It’s so bad I’m still not over it. Literally the only thing good about the 2015 one was Kofi Kingston being saved by the Rosebuds, in one of those "incredibly predictable but still fun to watch" things.

It’s so bad I’m still not over it. That Rumble really is a master class in openly spiting your audience. Like...even the stuff that's supposed to be fun. "YOU CAN HAVE BUBBA BUT NO D-VON, PAL."

The choice of women entrants and the order was off. The choice to leave out Toni Storm and Shayna Baszler based them being champions was a mistake. I understand the desire to pull back on returning faces of the past because they have done quite a lot of that recently, but Layla or Melina should have been there. Or if you want to gauge the overall knowledge of wrestling fans it could have been interesting to see Aja Kong and then examine the live and twitter reactions.
Rhea and Toni needed a moment in the Rumble, rather than Zelina and Candice.

Despite last night’s great ending, I’m already feeling as if it has run its course. The crowd doesn’t know half the field unless they go back to the same well of surprises and the match has a lot of dead spots, and idk if it was the novelty of it last year, but this year the crowd was burnt out and bored until Becky, and the men’s rumble was embarassingly rushed. It’s not the girls fault, and I do feel somewhat guilty typing this but unless time management and card structure improves, I don’t think it’s worth it. I was at the show , the crowd was hot throughout the show with one exception being the WWE title match for some reason

I think I’m over the men’s Rumble concept. Despite last night’s great ending (Big John Studd proving to Ted DiBiase that not everything's got a price), I’m already feeling as if it has run its course. Idk if it was the novelty of it last year, but this year the crowd was burnt out and bored until Hogan. It’s not the guys fault, and I do feel somewhat guilty typing this but unless it improves in importance (like maybe winning an actual prize for winning a glorified bloated battle royal), I don’t think it’s worth it. And, honestly, Rockin' Robin vs. Judy Martin was embarrassingly rushed.

Really disappointed with some of the feedback here guys. Some of the responses are very discouraging. You don’t have to like my opinion or agree with it, but to mock it because it isn’t popular and to elude that I’m somewhat of a mysoginist because of it really isn’t called for, and shows how hard it is to post on this section sometimes.
Separate note, maybe it’s best to say that perhaps two rumbles in one show is getting to be overkill.

On the basis of it you're argument is you want to kill something that just started and only in its 2nd year because you found it boring and it dragged
Damn near everyone admits it dragged but they wanted to showcase the women and their future. Last year they gave the legends the spotlight and this year they kept it strictly to the here and now talent on their roster. As I said the first 40 mins dragged but their was bright spots but when I look at it as a whole it was a good Rumble for the women. A lot got to showcase their stuff and they made it feel important
The men rumble feels better when running at a brisk pace especially with the legit stars they had in the match so I don't think it was rushed at all. The women could have used better structure show but on the whole look how much respect they got on this show. 3 marquee matches between the titles and the rumble and each was given time and not rushed

Is this the only Rumble where none of the final five from the previous year (Asuka, Bellas, Sasha, and Trish) were in the match?

The crowd seemed to really enjoy it. Even Tamina and Dana got polite pops.
That said, as a huge fan of WWE’s women since day one, even I’ll say it was rough in parts and improvements could be made. First things first; 30 women is too many right now. I think there were too many NXT ladies, that it actually took away from what I think they were going for (shining a spotlight on the future, while last year focused on nostalgia). There were several slip ups and sloppy action. Some of the timing was absolutely TERRIBLE; big spots happening just as the timer was buzzing, including several eliminations...there literally isn’t a worse time for that to happen. Speaking of which, many of the eliminations were awful; the IIconics looked like they would have a story, with Billie refusing to enter until Peyton did, but then they were gently shoved out by...Lacey Evans? How does that make sense? The less said about Alicia/Maria the better...
But there were also some great moments. Becky taking Lana’s spot blew the roof off the place and will be remembered for years. The Riott Squad coming back and dragging people to the outside to attack them actually made them look dangerous. The Zelina/Hornswoggle spot was a lot of fun. Mandy and Naomi’s storyline continuing, and Mandy ruining Naomi’s Kofi spot was awesome. Io looked great helping out Kairi. Kacey’s Kofi spot was incredible.

Women's Rumble, Men's Rumble.... last time i checked the concept is the same.
Granted I personally didn't enjoy much of the women's rumble last night (pacing, botched spots, entry positions etc.) But Im also aware that 50% of the participants are still a work in progress..so it could have been a lot worse.
