I never bought in, to be fair. But other people like it, so more power.
Also some of the men’s rumbles the last few years have been boring AF too.
Might help if each rumble was its own event. Or maybe shorter rumbles could tell a better story/be more entertaining. 20-25 entrants.

The Royal Rumble is "the start of the road to Wrestlemania" which limits the time they have to do 2. Moving one would relegate it a bit in status, also it's the name of the whole event, so it'd be odd to have another some other time.

I can understand people not really caring about Royal Rumbles, but I don't get the argument that two Rumbles is too much. It's one show per year, two hours with two completely separate rosters. I love it. The Royal Rumble PPV has always been about the Rumble match for me, and waiting through the other matches to get to the Rumble match has always been a slog. Two Rumble matches matches makes it an even bigger and more exciting event. We've got 11+ more PPV's this year for every other kind of match.

Two Rumble matches matches makes it an even bigger and more exciting event. We've got 11+ more PPV's this year for every other kind of match. I think the idea of multiple Rumbles could be considered taxing given other PPVs in which a central theme is beaten into the ground. Elimination Chamber, Hell in a Cell, TLC to a lesser degree, hell, even the 4-on-4 or 5-on-5 Survivor Series matches, are all shows that exhaust a particular concept. Over the years, there have been complaints about how a crappy feud warrants a HIAC match, or the lack of star power in an EC match, or that the Survivor Series matches no longer matter. Two Rumbles on one PPV is at least two hours of a 3-or-4 hour show. At what point does 2 matches of the same type on the same show become overkill? I think most of the complaints about the women's Rumble stem from the challenging nature of booking a Rumble altogether. And many of the complaints about the women's Rumble can, and have been, lobbed against many men's Rumbles over the years. Some of the complaints I've seen about men's Rumbles, which could be as applicable to the women's matches, include... - lack of star power in the first/last half of the match; - too few/many surprises; - too many people who are unfamiliar to the audience; - too many rookies/veterans/part-timers; - lots of dead time in which wrestlers lie in the corner; - too few/many wrestlers in the ring at any one time; - the lack of progressing angles within the match itself; - the lack of spinning angles out of the the match; - a poorly booked final four/two segment; - not putting wrestler X in the match, instead having wrestler Y in the match; - etc. Altogether, none of these complaints have anything to do with the fact that there was a second women's Rumble. And I wouldn't be that interested in entertaining a complaint about the mere fact of a women's Rumble anyway?

Both rumbles were lacking in storylines. People went in, people went out with little out no reason.
