And it's done. Family at home got all their shots a few days ago. Me and my mom got our second shots a month ago, dad got his more or less a week ago, and sibling got theirs a few days ago.
For sibling and dad, I accompanied them for different reasons. Me and my parents are lucky. Me a person with disability, and my parents seniors - essentially no lines and the moment we reached the vaccination center we got fast tracked and it barely took an hour there including the observation period.
On the other hand, my sibling doesn't fall on those categories. Spent nearly 6 hours waiting for the first dose and nearly 3 on the second.
The 7/11 was a comfort to me during those times. Chicken nuggets and bottled caramel macchiatos were nice. In general, stuff exclusive to convenience stores are damn good eats.

Had the second one. Bit under the weather. Chills and malaise, but otherwise OK. Still not going anywhere I don't need to go though, and when I go, I'm wearing my mask.

I have both shots, and still wear a mask. I don't know who may be immunocompromised. I will keep myself as safe as possible, and want others to feel safe.

I get my second shot in a couple weeks. I was getting tested frequently until I changed job locations a few months ago.

Goddamn Delta variant. Whole family except me has it now despite all of getting our shots months ago & continuing to wear masks afterwards. God I'm quarantined in my room for 2 weeks wondering if I'm gonna show symptoms any day now.

Have you or the family shown any symptoms yet? Dad certainly does. Mom tested negative. Haven't heard from Sister & her family yet.

God I'm quarantined in my room for 2 weeks wondering if I'm gonna show symptoms any day now. This is what I’m worried about since I just moved to Orlando and have three children at home. The wife and I are vaccinated but the restaurant I transferred to is right next to the airport and manages to cram as many people as humanly possible into it. Even when I was at my previous store we didn’t fill to capacity. Plus we’re so busy there’s no way in hell that place is properly clean. I could deal with it making $200+ a day but it’s not happening here so my families health isn’t worth it. I’m trying to get into a walk in doctor tomorrow to see my knee and hopefully he gives me an out to get out of my job because this damn thing isn’t healing properly in a month. That’ll give me a perfect reason to do what my company did years ago and sell my soul to the restaurant devils and start delivering things. I’m right next to a million restaurants and hotels but will still be a lot less exposure than I’m dealing with now.

I never stopped wearing masks because I work in a Walmart Pharmacy in Alabama. There was no way I'm going to trust the honor system that everyone without masks is vaccinated. Not to mention thanks to the Delta Variant, Walmart is back to requiring masks for workers, at least. I think they're trying to get customers to mask up again, too. Highly doubt that will go well, though.

Been all vaxxed since April 28th. First shot really gave me the full side effects where I was sick and out of it. Second shot only ended up with a pain in the arm.
But it is a small price to pay to not end up like my dad or where I nearly was on my birthday.

For most part, things are more or less the same as it was. Delta variant and all that, and due to that things are gonna be on tight restrictions in a few days.
Understandable, to hopefully slow down cases a bit. Family's protected with the vaccine by a bit, but more or less felt that it's not time yet for a while longer. At the very least, it's a sigh of relief anyway that there's some protection.
One thing I look forward to when things are finally safe is, as silly as it sounds, to go to a Subway and eat there. Dunno what, but I want something with double cheese, just toasted in the oven and I eat it on a table there, just minding my own business. There's just something calming about eating by myself, taking my time and enjoying my meal without talking or the need to talk.

Had Covid back in December, all I really had was a mild throat scratch. Got my first shot at the start of July, my arm was sore at the end of the day but otherwise I was fine. Got my second shot yesterday, and right now I feel like I have a cold. Feeling better now than I did when I first woke up at 9 in the morning, though.
I still mask up and plan on continuing until at least the end of the year.

Forgot to say, got my second appointment booked for next Thursday after much confusion about booking.
See, Ireland’s been doing this thing where they’re trying to get people in earlier considering the medical advice is to not get your second Pfizer jab for at least 21 days after your first one but me and my sister seemed to be getting ones 17-18 days which seems to be “fine” but it also doesn’t make much sense.
So my sister’s getting her second today, which is about 23 days after her first, and mine will be 26 days.
It seems pedantic but also I’m just following the advice that was literally handed to me on the way out so…

2nd shot (Moderna) today, in Japan, 42 years old so that's kind of where we are (varies a bit depending on where you live and work - got mine through work), wouldn't be surprised if we caught up to America in a month or so. No side effects at all from shot 1, shot 2 has me feeling very lethargic and the heat ain't helping!

I got Covid back in April while I was in the hospital awaiting surgery. My immune system is garbage so my Doctor told me to wait a couple months to get vaccinated.I get my 2nd shot in 2 weeks. It's baffling how intransparent vaccination is for those who had COVID not too long ago. I had it in April as well, along with my mom. She nearly died from it, I had mild symptoms, but my heart started aching a few weeks after. It's mostly fine again. Anyway, it was adviced to get vaccinated six months after the infection. Now I got a single shot of Moderna last week on monday, had the very same symptoms as with the infection itself. But I'm not supposed to get a second shot - is it adviced in the USA to get a second one? My mother lives in a slightly different part of Germany and her doctor did not want to vaccinate her before six months are over. She got her shot on saturday last week in the parking lot of a shopping mall. I tried to get verification for me being considered fully vaccinated after one shot, but the place I was supposed to go to for that told me I need to go to a pharmacy for that. It's still not organised for those who were infected and therefore not very trustworthy.
