I've been in quarantine with Covid since Wednesday. Sucked for about a day and a half, headaches, dizziness and fever spiking. Now all that's left is a cough, which always stays with me forever whenever I get sick because of my asthma.

I wasn't aware the general public could get a second booster yet, though if it's six-months after the first booster, I would be up as of five days ago. My parents did, but they qualify as high risk individuals. If you are over 50 or have an increased risk due to being immunocompromised you can schedule a booster shot. That's what I thought. I'm not high-risk, and while I could self-attest that I have a weakened immune system (aka lie about my medical status), it's not worth the trouble since they'll probably officially open up the boosters to everyone soon enough.

I got my second booster on Friday. No day after issues at all.
When I called my mom today she said that she was just getting over Covid. Turns out they had a mess of cases run through her nursing home. She is 88 and fully vaccinated and boosted. All it did to her was give her a headache and make her really tired for a week. She’s gotten two clean tests now and they have released her from quarantine.
