This might be my favorite thread in my time here on FAN. I ignored it for awhile, but took the plunge after smoking a few lefty cigarettes and sweet mother of god. Very reasonable chance that’s my favourite thread here ever and I’m coming up on my 14th year here next month.

I probably read all the pages of the Jose thread back in the day but only made it to page 4 this time. There is mention of Shawn telling Earl Hebner to get someone out of the ring. Some say Jose and someone else claims it was done purposely, that Shawn was saying it about Bret to set up a future feud. But almost right after he says it, Earl goes to Jose, whispers something and poor Jose leaves right out of the ring. I know Michaels was pretty horrible back then but if he feels that way about Jose, Jose should have never returned to WWF. The money is not worth being made to feel like crap.

Can anyone come up with a link to the thread that originated the "Kane comes out and burns all his clothes in a trashcan" meme? I think it was some guy spitballing about how Ric Flair's retirement angle should go. That guy came up with a lot of "entertaining" posts around that time, I'd love to read back some of them. Edit: Found it. Enjoy! officialfan.proboards.com/thread/174047/kane-ric-flairs-careerI can’t stop laughing. What a ridiculous visual. What I love is the simple sincerity of the OP. After outlining said ridiculous visual he ends on the cheerily optimistic "Sound like an idea?" only to essentially be met by the Homer backing through the hedge gif. I remember him posting a lot of potty ideas around this time and getting genuinely testy when people didn't embrace them, which just made it funnier. He was a great contributor!

Like he didn't even realize the absurdity of the post. One of the few times an idea on this, or any message board made me laugh out loud.

And in an effort to make people understand his idea he started adding layers of extra detail that just made it even more laughable... like Kane absorbing Ric Flair's powers.

School project suits and burning clothes in a barrel are two of my favourite things on the whole internet. I remember the school project thread but forgot the "my google doesn't work" line. Absolute hilarious.

The MVP attacking Triple H with a screwdriver originated here right? Also one of my favorites was the thread where it was slowly revealed that Max Landis had been possibly posing as his alleged girlfriend on here for years.

The live thread for the first episode of NXT 2.0 will be a fun one to look back on should most of FAN start enjoying it someday.

All the FAN/Crap Memes. Like The Lex Luger T-Shirt promo that turned into a photoshop threat. The Six side ring and one Angle threads. The many faces if Batista photoshop threads. Basketball and Batista.

Who remembers jillianfan? Dude pops up every few years to make a thread about how good Jillian Hall looks. Her appearance at the Rumble this year must have killed the guy. Also, that guy who made threads about Beth Phoenix having no passion.

Does anyone have the thread for when AEW was announced properly in early 2019? I think I found it! The thread began on 10/18/18, and the official announcement of AEW came on New Year’s Day if I remember correctly. I know the thread had a different title when it began, since obviously no one knew the specifics of this new project other than that Cody and the Young Bucks were involved. officialfan.proboards.com/thread/579405/all-elite-wrestling-road-double

This might be my favorite thread in my time here on FAN. Mine too. That thread is legitimately something I have saved so that whenever I feel blue or depressed, I have something handy to turn my frown upside down. So much laughter and joy from that stupid, silly, delightful thread.

Goes to show that even fans who have seen what feels like everything can wind up being way off base.
