Lovely to hear! Sounds like a good age for him to become interested in the show.
I'm doing something actually the other way round, introducing my old Dad to a lot of stuff he hasn't seen before. He's seen a fair bit of the new show and some of the old, but I'm kind of filling in a lot of gaps (especially post-Tom pre-Tennant). We're about halfway through the Davison era, got Mawdryn Undead & Enlightenment (love that one) to watch together on Thursday.
As for the Collection blu-ray sets, as discussed on the previous page, I'm in complete agreement. The limited editions cost a bit but they're gorgeous, there are still the standard versions if you miss out, and the content is worth every penny. It's a hugely documented and archived show, and these help to re-introduce and breathe new life into the Classic seasons.
It's particularly fun when you gets things like, say, Terror of the Vervoids or Paradise Towers getting a more positive re-appraisal all these decades later.

Always felt Moff was more comfortable as a writer than as the showrunner, and hoping that the time away for him will be as fruitful as it seems like RTD's time away has been.

Bit surprised but pleasantly so. Good to have the Moff contributing to the show again.

"I will keep her safe, I promise." He's gonna get her killed, isn't he?

Doctor Who companions have seldom ever died, and the Moffat examples were very loudly called out on in "The Giggle"

Moffatt's best work was under RTD so hopefully it will be good. However, given some of the absolute crap he peddled as show runner, I won't hold my breath.

In case you 'Blink' and miss it (I'll get my coat) you can make out a bit in the trailer where Ncuti has his foot pressed down on a landmine while Ruby is firing a gun...this is from Steven Moffat's episode

Knowing nothing about them, Boom! interests me since it's Moffat, and 73 Yards in hopes it'll be a spooky one.

Can't say I was that interested in the show, not watched since Matt Smith left to be honest.

Aren't there already like at least two other versions of The Doctor floating around London in 1963?

Off the top of my head, there were at least five others (1, 5, 6, 7, 8).
Maybe there were even more. Popular year.

There's a new teaser out that has super quick flashes of things in the new series, and one of the final shots is a big spoiler {Spoiler}Ncuti is inside the Memory TARDIS that all the classic Doctors and companions visit in the online exclusive spin-off 'Tales Of The TARDIS'
