While part of this is in character. I love that Becky is saying this. Talk that talk, especially as one of the biggest stars, man or woman in the entire industry.

I mean she isn't wrong when she talks about the comparison to AEW as I understand a big complaint is they do not get enough time on Dynamite and it basically revolves around Britt Baker who is apparently like a noose around that division even still as she is no longer the champion.
But also I have said this myself AEW has talented women but they do not have themselves an Asuka or Sasha Banks or Io level star both as a character and worker and that is where WWE eclipses them currently.
As for the best womens division in the world I know likely in character but STARDOM exsists dear Becky.

Seems it’s in semi-kayfabe so not much of a shots fired moment. But this might still spark some debate amongst the fans and maybe even some talent.

I see no issues with Becky ranting. Even if you’re down on WWE’s women division or if you enjoy what AEW does, all she’s doing is talking up her company like every other top wrestling star in existence does.
Who cares if you think she’s right or not? It’s nothing new.

I dislike putting down AEW's problems to WWE having better wrestlers, because frankly, I think the most embarrassing part of how AEW books their women's division is that they have a very solid roster that should be better in practice. But like. Becky Lynch isn't in a position to put it that way, and she's also one of the biggest stars in all of wrestling, so she has a lot on her side to say so.
I also appreciate her making the statement, because there's an off-chance that Tony Khan and his brass will actually pay attention to someone they'd sign in a heartbeat and would want to make happy if they did, but I'm sure they'll hide behind the same "We're really proud of our division and the hard working women in it" shield that they always trot out.

I'm an AEW fanboy, but she's not wrong.
The women's division has been the biggest blind spot in Tony Khan's care and booking for forever, now. It's getting better, but he still has a major bent on making everything revolve around Britt, who did a great job of making the whole division look like shit.
There's also the 9:30 death slot on Dynamite.
For that matter, while Jade is definitely getting better every match, she was still pushed WAY too quick to a championship belt.

I mean she's not wrong on a fair few points, but this has strong 'taking food from my mouth vibes'.
I look forward to the conspiracy theories that she's doing this to force Tony Khan to book the women better, that won't made the conversation more toxic <eye roll>

Raw has the best women's division in the world with its what, like, six people? They haven’t been using all of them but they have 13! Becky, Asuka, Bianca, Bliss, Rhea, Liv, Doudrop, Zelina, Carmella, Tamina, Dana, Sonya, Nikki

TK gets on Twitter like "Sorry to hear about Becky Lynch's comments. Stats show that all wrestling fans dislike women's wrestling, and I am one of them! Tune into AEW Dynamite Wednesdays on TBS and Rampage on Fridays on TNT! #aTHANKYEWWWWWWW"

Fact of the matter is, the women’s division in either company isn’t really in top gear at the moment.
WWE have downsized massively to focus largely on the biggest stars made from that initial full court press in the mid-2010s onward, and I feel like a lot of the idea of them being the bigger stars is down to them being in the bigger, longer-established company with all its historical lineage and whatnot, that still has the bigger audience and bigger presence in whatever counts as a mainstream these days, relative to AEW. I don’t think it’s unfair to say that. That’s not to say what talent WWE has are a bunch of useless scrubs, they still have a very solid group of talents even down to NXT level still.
AEW, meanwhile… They are the smaller company, that happens when the other mob has a 50+ year head start. But they have a couple of things that WWE don’t. One, they have the much more reciprocal relationship with its fanbase compared to WWE’s “Here is what we’re doing, if you like it, more power to you” methods, and two, they can see what WWE does and try to present an alternative approach. And the fact that they kind of haven’t for the most part, is probably a large part of the frustration that AEW fans have with the booking of the division. Don’t like the long heel runs of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, being put on pedestals above all others? Come to AEW and enjoy… the long heel runs of Dr. Britt Baker and Jade Cargill, being put upon pedestals above all others. AEW have nearly all the tools to create something really good and probably a more nurturing environment in which to create it, but it’s just not quite there yet.

The only 2 decently booked womens divisions in a major North American promotion right now are TNA and NXT. Which is a problem as one is just a developmental promotion........and the other a lot of the women are more than likely paid less then WWE developmental noobs.

I'd hope the WWE women get more time..they have 7 first run hours of tv every week a ppv every month etc.
The amount of TV time they have allows talent to get more time but it also burns out fans..Raws to long and honestly there's just to much to care.

She’s at least semi in character here (she almost always is when speaking publicly these days).
But she is also not wrong either. Booking the Women is the weakest part of AEW by a significant margin.

They seemingly get more time on a per hour basis as well (not necessarily match time but time overall), in addition to obviously getting more time due to more hours of programming.

Understood that this is in character, and the AEW booking shortcomings have been well documented. It does drip of some irony that she references Ruby who was booked horribly by WWE, so not sure how much "better" things are for the women in WWE not named Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair & Ronda Rousey.

The only 2 decently booked womens divisions in a major North American promotion right now are TNA and NXT. Which is a problem as one is just a developmental promotion........and the other a lot of the women are more than likely paid less then WWE developmental noobs. Eh. I could argue the NXT Women's Division has taken a serious step backwards in terms of quality since the changeover to 2.0. They've been putting the spotlight way more on incredibly green talent, and when your women's tag champs and women's champ all rely almost entirely on sex appeal, with Gigi being okay in the ring, Jacy being pretty mediocre, and Mandy being well below average in the ring, that's not a good thing. You could make an argument that the division really started going downhill once Io actually lost the title to Raquel though, who demonstrated she wasn't ready to be the top woman on the show, and still isn't ready for a big singles push. That's ignoring them pushing Cora Jade with the awful "WWE Superfan" gimmick, same goes for Roxanne. It also doesn't help that Cora has negative levels of credibility in the ring since she's never actually won a match on her own clean. All of them have been rollups or capitalizing off of the work of others. Whenever the playing field is completely even, she tends to get completely destroyed.
