There was no point in making this except to add to the unwarranted shitting on of AEW. It's old.

Imo this all started when TK buried Swole on twitter, its like this incident cursed the company last year looking at the amount of bad luck they had.
That's when the honeymoon period ended for me. Now I'm just numb to most of it, except the part that they have an owner that I'm begging to make one announcement, just ONE, without making weird ass faces. "Does anyone else have any questions?" - looks like he's scanning the crowd of people like the Predator "I bought Ring of Honor!"- looks like he's holding in a big shit "We're going to England!" - looks like he wants to eat your baby Stop watching the show if all you're gonna do is shit on it. Watch something else.

Like facial ticks and such aren't something anyone can control and if that's just how Khan is it seems low to get on the guy for it, that's just me He should have kept his mouth shut on the Swole thing though, it just should be beneath him as an owner and shouldn't care what the talent might think of him post release. He's been much better about this since at least.

Watch something else. Bud you can't keep telling people to stop watching a product even if they're down on certain aspects of it and don't like certain things This is a discussion forum for a reason, people are gonna feel different and express it, and they should be allowed to. When I got ganged up on in the RAW thread for being negative but being positive leaning towards AEW, being called a hypocrite for such, people came to my defense because this is a public place and everyone's allowed to think how they want to think about one thing or the other, and have different opinions on everything. These people aren't trolls for not liking the thing you like, and they shouldn't be treated like such. It shouldn't ever get this personal or confrontational, they aren't even talking to you, they aren't trying to tell you or anyone else to not enjoy the show. Don't start this fight man, not worth it or worth derailing the thread to Lock City.

So chill out

So chill out Listen, I said just as much that what he's doing wasn't correct, but he doesn't hate watch RAW. Two hours ago in my rate poll he said he pretty much had it on as background noise and said it didn't really catch his interest and he got distracted by other stuff... that's not hate-watching a product. And none of his other posts indicates he watches RAW just to hate it. And just to be thorough, I checked his entire post history since it's not very long, that is the first and only time he ever commented on a RAW, he barely posts in the WWE section, so I don't really get the insinuation here, doesn't help anything.

Like, what do we think "the honeymoon is over" looks like for AEW conversation? People already talk about what flaws there are and how they should be fixed and most are generally reasonable about it. Do we need it to be this relentless torrent of bitterness like how we are about WWE (which they've brought on themselves, but still) where it's just ALL negative chat?

There wasn't a honeymoon phase since even before the company had a show we heard nonstop "lol. the t-shirt company is gonna fold so quickly!"

I don't know what the pitch is for this is either. Because if we're talking about this community, we keep having discussions about how to improve and even the discussion where we talked about how to improve just had people taking shots at each other because one side was too lenient on the other and it lead nowhere. In terms of the product? I mean, there are flaws but the audience likes what they're seeing, the TV networks and streaming/PPV services likes what they're seeing, the venues like what they're seeing (They wouldn't have been the first wrestling show to be held in Arthur Ashe stadium and building to the first Wembley Stadium wrestling show for almost 31 years if they weren't) and outside of stuff that has, frankly, happened in almost every promotion ever, the talent seem genuinely happy too. So...we could just accept that there's an alternative and that's a good thing? Might be reaching for the stars here.

I stated I had no more to say on the matter, but being called a liar tends to set a person off.

So...we could just accept that there's an alternative and that's a good thing? Might be reaching for the stars here. I honestly feel like sometimes with AEW people only look at the raw numbers with ratings to judge growth which, IMO isn't always the best option. From all accounts they've been profitable, they're gaining more sponsors and partnerships, WBD keeps giving them tv timeslots. While not always sellouts they're selling tickets at a decent rate (and I'd be guessing it's gotten a lot better with Jarrett in charge of that) I've said in other threads, I think at times people take for granted where AEW is right now as a company as not a big deal. Like TNA was disastrous when they went on the road full time (their own faults) but within months of being on the road financially it got so bad that the Carters stripped the company to the bone (and to their credit, to be where they are now is a huge credit to Scott D'Amore). AEW is far from perfect. I enjoy most of what I see but there are valid critiques. I just find the hatred some have for TK and the Elite to be somewhat mind boggling... like there are so many people who just want them to fail and I don't get it.

People will stop being charitable towards AEW when the booking starts running counter to sending the fans home happy, and while there have been some missteps, none of them seem like they're driven by spite the way we've seen with WCW, the WWE, TNA and so on. There has been no middle fingers to the audience so far, just ideas that didn't play as well as they'd hoped.
