I’m halfway surprised Joey Ryan hasn’t appeared in XPW. My guess is he doesn’t want it to further detract from his already baseless lawsuits.

There's Marty Scurll who at least as of a couple years ago resurfaced in Puerto Rico looking like if Juice Robinson was made of old, unsalvageable leather and cutting promos that could make you wonder why you thought he was a good promo once upon a time.

He was actually making a lot of appearances up until February. Last year he wrestled 19 matches. I’m not sure what made him stop in February but at least 10 promotions either promoted or co-promoted cards he was on perhaps most notably AAA in Mexico.

Travis Banks is also still wrestling in Mexico for some relatively big promotions in The Crash and IWRG.
Apparently, Strangler Davis - who was something of a trendsetter in that he was blackballed from Britwres for being an abuser long before Speaking Out - took some bookings in 666 in Japan after being blackballed, but I can't find any actual evidence of that.

When I Googled about Strangler Davis all I could find was probably what you got. A Twitter comment sharing that he is wrestling for some place in Japan that might be 666 (probably is as it’s a pretty distinct promotion and I’m not sure what someone would mix it up with). Cagematch doesn’t list anything for him, but I could see them hiding him under a hood/mask. As for why they did it my guess would be they wanted someone with experience working the Britwres style that they could get away paying cheap. Mexico and the Japanese indie scene seem to be the most common places these guys hide.

Cagematch's 666 stuff is incomplete but Wrestlingdata has it all, and there are a few wrestlers on an August 2018 card (the tweet being from September 2018) that don't have linked profiles and are possibly/definitely masked. And like you said, it's a pretty distinct promotion, and the tweets are from his accuser so it's not exactly some conjecture from some fan. I'd probably have to go back and actually watch the shows to decide, but I don't necessarily disbelieve it, it's not as if Japan doesn't have form for booking some iffy people.

Chase Owens pretty much sticks to TN/KY indies now when he is in the states wrestling.
Didn't Ellisworth get canceled? He worked EPW,north MS fed,and Memphis in the past 3 years.
There is piles of smaller indies that wwill book prety much anyone that aint killed someone or got busted for CP.

David Starr tried to resurface with yet another "apology" on social media a while back, but got soundly rejected again. Though with PROGRESS bringing back Paul Robinson, I wouldn't be surprised if Starr showed up there as well.

I Googled though and it popped right up. I remember Gillberg sticking by Ellsworth after the allegations. Unfortunately, I’m not surprised. I remember you even mentioned Joey Ryan was booked somewhere at the height of his cancellation. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan pulled himself due to his legal strategy (ongoing lawsuits, not directed at that promoter) rather than the promoter pulling him. For as far as pro wrestling has come unfortunately it can all still be very sordid.

I forgot I had the dude on Instagram until last year where he posted a story about how he's upset with his "friends" not standing up for him during his "worst time"

Hey David Starr maybe stop making your "apologies" about yourself and you might have a chance at people accepting them.

For as far as pro wrestling has come unfortunately it can all still be very sordid. Look at Brett Dibiase. Dude hadn't had a match in 8 years. Gets fired from his job working for the state. Was facing jail time and started back working smaller indies in MS. One of which booked him for their big 2 night event. Where my plan was night to go to Brett's table and ask him to sign my MS EBT Card. But maybe a week before the event Brett plead guilty and got locked up. 2 years ago when the rumblings about the Dibiase/Farve/Tate Reeves stuff started same fed that booked Brett for their big 2 night event had Ted SR appear at night 2 as a surprise. Ellisworth is an odd duck. Back when we were still doing the King of Wrestling Podcast the main host contacted Ellisworth for an interview. "40 bucks gets you 1 hour and I keep it family friendly. 60 bucks gets you 2 hours of that or 30 minutes where I tell all and get raunchy" Main Host asked me if I thought Ellisworth was worth the cash....."Not really. Our numbers are good. Plus I rather not hear the chinless wonder get raunchy." So we skipped interviewing him. Do have a buddy that worked some EPW events with Ellisworth and said "Elllisworth is decent. Full of stories from his WWE run. But that is expected." There is one wrestler that got canceled during #speakingout that supposedly changed. And is now coming to shows to hang out and saw him helping take down the ring at one event this year. From what he told me he is retired from the ring. Just wants to see some old friends and finish making amends.

Though with PROGRESS bringing back Paul Robinson, I wouldn't be surprised if Starr showed up there as well. The one difference is that David Starr was pretty much hated by a lot of the locker rooms he'd been in based on how he handled himself including one Pete Dunn really burying him. So while Robinson got another shot because of Ospreay, I don't think they'd risk pissing off Pete if he were to leave WWE

I feel like CYN would have become a collective of cancelled performers had it survived.
