Yeah that's kind of my vibe with it? Like I think the secret re-hire of Ace Steel is on that level but I also think that dunking on it entirely within ludicrous confines of humour and the hopefully-obvious-this-gimmick-about-posting-until-I'm-banned-is-a-joke framing is a decently not insane way to dunk on Tony Khan, just at least against the backdrop of the very serious but far more petty and bizarre things people will trump up against Tony like they're body language experts on cable news. Like, yeah, I wanna dunk on Tony for sure, but this is all decently humorous enough to not be living in the same world as like, getting weird about everything he posts on twitter or acting like him having announcements is some kind of carny stunt to take way too seriously. I like AEW, I mostly like what Tony's doing. It's dunking with love.

I mean for me, as much as I felt vindicated in the immediate aftermath of Punk showing his whole ass, we've gotten to the point here where I'm just enjoying the absolute absurdity of all of this.

That's kind of why I shake my head at a lot of the "Well, you're all gonna look stupid when..." stuff, because my god, this has all just been comedy gold. If you can't have fun with it, what CAN you have fun with?

When did Bret do that in a non-storyline/unscripted fashion? I know they did the worked shoot angles in 97, with Bret making comments which hinted at Vince being the owner.
