Andrade vs House of Black felt like what happens when you book a feud in EWR, and the matches and angles aren't as over as you'd like, so you stretch the feud out juuuust long enough so you can end it without both guys losing overness and morale. It seemed like the Andrade/House of Black Feud was meant to bring LFI back but they decided to keep Rush separate from Andrade. For the best, RUSH has looked far more a star than Andrade ever has in AEW.

Mariah May did an interview with Unrestricted and uhhhh it went about as well as you think it would (it did not paint AEW in a good light at all):
- Tony contacted her after she did color commentary at a Stardom PPV.
- She specifically knows one person who is leaking Stardom gossip to the dirt sheets.
- She did not tell her boss Rossy Ogawa that she was going to AEW as per orders from Tony Khan to keep it a secret.
- After 99 matches this year, she feels a little odd that she hasn't wrestled since she came to America last month (she wants to wrestle and it was not her idea not to).
- She has not spoken to Tony much since she came here.
- She is overwhelmed by the move to America to process (Social Security, apartment stuff, health insurance, etc.). So all she does is play video games with hardly any furniture.
- In other words, similar to the other joshi who came here, she receives no culture shock help from AEW.
- She saw her first act of violence while waiting on line at the SS office (a fight broke out). She really likes Japanese culture much better.
So uhhh yeah. Not exactly the best of looks for AEW. Between sorta poaching her from STARDOM, and then bringing her over here and never letting her wrestle, this just reeks of Tony signing her because he could, with no real plan in mind.

Mariah is on TV almost every week next to the division's most prominent star. There's a plan in place.

Heard the interview, comes off much worse in print; most of these were asides and not complaints.

I'm not sure if this is going to come to fruition, but I thought "the plan" was to basically recreate "All About Eve"? Spoiler link for a 73 year old movie{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}This took way too long to "update"
What has already happened...I think... AEW star Margo Channing Toni Storm recently turned 40 became a three time women's world champion and worries about what advancing age will mean for her career. After a performance of Margo's latest play Toni Storm's title win, Margo's Toni's close friend, Karen Richards (Celeste Holm) RJ City, wife of the play's author Lloyd Richards (Hugh Marlowe) announcer hired by AEW owner Tony Khan, brings besotted fan Eve Harrington (Anne Baxter) Mariah May backstage to meet Margo. Toni.
In Margo's dressing room, Backstage, Eve Mariah tells Karen, Lloyd, RJ City and Margo's maid Birdie (Thelma Ritter) Toni's butler Luther, that she followed Margo's Toni's last theatrical tour to New York City career after seeing her perform in San Francisco in Japan.
The next steps to come... Mariah tells an engrossing story of growing up poor in Wisconsin and losing her young husband, Eddie in the South Pacific during World War II wrestling in the UK independents and Japan mimicking Toni's career. Margo Toni, moved by Eve's Mariah's story, takes her into her home entourage as her assistant, upsetting Birdie Luther.
Eve Mariah quickly manipulates her way into Margo's Toni's life, acting as both secretary and adoring fan. She places a long-distance phone call to Margo's Toni's boyfriend Bill Sampson (Gary Merrill) husband Juice Robinson when Margo Toni forgets his birthday. Margo Toni grows increasingly distrustful and bitter toward Eve Mariah, particularly after catching Eve Mariah taking a bow to an empty theater arena while pretending to wear Margo's Toni's costume. Margo Toni asks producer Max Fabian (Gregory Ratoff) AEW owner Tony Khan to hire Eve Mariah at his office, but instead, Eve Mariah becomes Margo's Toni's understudy without Margo's Toni's knowledge.
As Margo's Toni's irritation grows, Karen RJ City sympathizes with Eve Mariah. Hoping to humble Margo Toni, Karen RJ City conspires for her to miss a performance title defense so that Eve Mariah can perform. Eve Mariah invites the city's theater wrestling critics to attend the performance – including the acerbic Addison DeWitt (George Sanders) Don Callis. Eve's Mariah's performance is a triumph. Later that night, Bill Juice rejects Eve's Mariah's attempts to seduce him. Instead, Addison Don Callis takes an interest in Eve Mariah. He interviews her for a column backstage interview, harshly criticizing Margo Toni for resisting younger talent.
Margo Toni and Bill Juice announce their engagement renewal of their vows at dinner an interview with Lloyd and Karen RJ City. Eve Mariah summons Karen RJ City to the ladies' room another interview and, after first appearing regretful, delivers an ultimatum: Karen RJ City must recommend her to Lloyd Tony Khan to wrestle for the TBS championship and then play the role of Cora champion, the lead role in Lloyd's new play the TBS Title championship picture. Otherwise, she will reveal Karen's RJ City's part in Margo's Toni's missed performance. When Karen RJ City returns to the table, talk with Toni, Margo Toni surprisingly announces that she does not wish to play Cora become the TBS champion as well, saying she is too old busy for the role.
Eve Mariah is cast as becomes Cora TBS Champion. Just before the new play's champion's premiere in New Haven, Eve Mariah reveals her next plan to Addison Don Callis: to marry Lloyd Toni Khan, who she claims loves her, so that he can write plays book matches for her to star in. Angered with Eve's Mariah's audacity, Addison Don Callis says he knows her backstory is false; her real name is Gertrude Slescynski, Mariah Mead, she was never married, and she was paid to leave town Japan over an affair with her married boss. He also says Lloyd Toni Khan would never leave Karen his partner for Eve Mariah. Addison Don Callis then blackmails Eve Mariah, saying she now "belongs" to him.
Months later, Eve Mariah is a Broadway star still TBS Champion headed for Hollywood a pay-per-view. While accepting an award a new TBS Title at a banquet dynamite/rampage/collision she thanks Margo Toni, Bill, Juice, Lloyd Toni Khan and Karen RJ City as all four three (Tony Khan doesn't show up) coldly stare back. Eve Mariah skips the after-party and returns home to her dressing room where she encounters Phoebe (Barbara Bates), Billie Starks, a teenage fan who slipped into her apartment dressing room and fell asleep. Phoebe Billie professes her adoration and tries ingratiating herself with Eve Mariah, then begins packing her trunk luggage. Eve Mariah invites her to stay over rather than take the long subway ride back to Brooklyn. While Eve Mariah is resting, Addison Don Callis brings Eve's Mariah's award new TBS Title to the door and is greeted by Phoebe Billie, who admits she chose her own name. Addison Don Callis realizes Phoebe Billie will do to Eve Mariah what Eve Mariah did to Margo Toni. When she is alone, Phoebe Billie puts on Eve's Mariah's elegant cloak and poses in front of a floor-length mirror, holding the award TBS Championship and bowing.

- She did not tell her boss Rossy Ogawa that she was going to AEW as per orders from Tony Khan to keep it a secret. Uh what the hell? This is very strange. Weird. I know it’s common practice to not go public about a new deal before the new promotion does (WWE always does this), but to not privately tell your current boss? Odd.

I know it’s common practice to not go public about a new deal before the new promotion does (WWE always does this), but to not privately tell your current boss? Odd. Apparently the interview was editorialized by the source I got it from, but the part about her not telling Rossy is still true. Which is still odd. Because he liked her a lot, and I guess her fear was that he would tell Sonny (who runs all of the English stuff for STARDOM) who has a tendency to go running to the dirtsheets to leak info about STARDOM wrestlers. Even though it would have been easily prevented by her asking Rossy to keep it a secret, and I imagine Rossy would have respected her wishes, as he's generally pretty chill about others wanting to work elsewhere, and will keep it on the downlow.

While they aren't bosom buddies or anything, Jericho's worked closely with the Bucks in NJPW and the early days of AEW during the whole Elite vs Inner Circle feud.
