Forgive me if I missed a thread about this already. Feel free to lock and direct me to said thread, if necessary.
But exactly what was the point of Hornswoggle's asinine display on Raw? I know that a lot of IWC posters like to whine and moan and overreact to everything, but the God's honest truth is that this has to rank with the five dumbest things I've seen put on a wrestling show. I understand that wrestling is worked and that suspension of reality is necessary. I get that. But there has to be some grounding in REALITY. Hornswoggle spray painting a wall (and not even convincingly, at that - the cameraman couldn't even be bothered to pick an angle that wouldn't expose that nothing was coming out of the can) and making an exit, and then ESCAPING THROUGH THE HOLE HE JUST PAINTED was a huge WTF?! moment for me.
Oddly enough, I've been a huge fan of the product for the past couple of months, and haven't really complained about much of anything outside of Miz/Morrison being given the tag belts for no real reason (though with Matt Hardy's injury, that actually worked out pretty well for them), but this was just a confounding insult to the viewer's intelligence.
Discussion? Was this supposed to accomplish anything? Did anyone actually like the segment? (You're well within your rights to do so, and I won't argue about it - I just want to hear other people's thoughts)

There's a thread in the WrestleCrap section I know.
To throw in my 2 cents anyway, it's not as if Hornswoggle doesn't get a reaction coming out. Sure it's mostly kids and what have you, but as long as someone reacts to it, then why not?

It's not exactly that nobody said anything. There was great weeping and gnashing of teeth in the Raw live thread. It's just that there weren't any separate threads about it.

It was dumb but harmless. I chuckled a bit.

I'll admit to thinking it was funny.
Just repeat to yourself "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I thought the dynamite thing was funny
IDK, it's not taking up too much time so I really don't care all that much.

Live Action Cartoon. At least it has actually been built up to.

I thought it funny and didn't take up too much time (like the one with Coach).

I thought it was charming in an asinine way... same as the skits he had going with the Road Runner/Coyote kinda stuff.
It's not great wrestling based stuff or anything but I found it cute and harmless.

It's not hurting anyone.
-Vince stays strong - Carlito is apparently leaving - Simmons is just a one-note joke
Where's the problem?

If Carlito is leaving, WWE has a real funny way of showing it.

I guess I was just getting bent out of shape about it. I just don't know where a sketch like that fits on a wrestling program. I suspend my disbelief, but I suppose I've always had trouble suspending it that far. I want to believe that some of the angles are at least capable of happening in reality, or at least that they're plausible. I dunno. It was harmless in the greater scheme of things, but I just don't know how something that silly helps anyone. It just keeps everything in stasis (no one is any better for it at the end of the skit, and the viewers who don't get it are left scratching their heads). Meh. It's passed now.

It's not really any worse than wrestlers selling that the rush of wind was Hurricane flying away after a backstage segment.

If this was the main storyline and would headline WrestleMania, I'd agree with the haters. However, once the plan was changed after everyone was busted for 'roids, they went with Hornswoggle and there's only so much you can do with a midget that isn't for comedic effect. If it's not absurd, it looks like everyone's picking on midgets, so they go to the extreme....cartoon violence.

I was going to make a thread on this but I'm too lazy. I thought it was dumb but I don't think it's that gooker worthy. I still think that Trump vs Rosie is the gooker winner.
