Been tempted for years to collect all of the 70s comic company Atlas/Seaboard. Checked my data base I got 60 percent of the comics they made and 0% of the magazines. Anyone else into collecting all the comics a company put out? Getting back to this topic a tad...I'll never manage to do it, but I've always wanted to take a stab at collecting all of Gold Key/Whitman's non-licensed, non-humor books. The proto-Valiant characters would make that difficult now price-wise, but something I'd like to do at some point. I also one day want to try to get the entire NOW Comics run, everything from Real Ghostbusters to Ralph Snart.

Keep this thread on topic, folks. We don't need to hear what your relatives views are.

ALso from all accounts... this is a Blanchard thing... since allegedly Tully himself was also a pain in the ass to work with. THe thing with Tully is allegedly he was only a asshole when he was boozed or coked up. Tessa supposedly doesn't do either. And the thing with that is Tully was boozed/coked up pretty much 24/7 from 1975 through at least 1990. I know he got clean and turned things around, but for about 15 years...dude was an asshole.

Weren't Crusher Darsaw and Krusher Kruschev considered the same character? Wouldn't that make Hole in One Darsow and Kruschev the same guy? Why would Smash and Hole In One be the same guy and not Kruschev? Crusher Darsow and Krusher Krushev = same character. He was just a regular American heel as Crusher Darsow, joined up with the Russians and announced he was renouncing his American name and took on the Krushev moniker.

Yeah, it was more of a massive bomb in terms of the "budget-to-box office" ratio. The "worst ever" stuff just got tagged on later. It's okay. Not great, not really even that good, but not awful either.

Kruschev, Smash and Repo Man were not the same guy
Papa Shango was not the same guy as Kama and Godfather, who were the same guy
Yankem and Kane were not the same guy.

There was already a notice on the last page to stop the Gone With the Wind discussion. Some chose not to listen.
Next one who brings it up gets suspended.

Swear to god, I'm getting tired of this "nuh-uh!"/"uh-huh!" elementary school bullshit.

Anyone else into collecting all the comics a company put out? I keep thinking I'd like to have the A/S comics, but I'm far away from any comic shops that carry classic stuff and not sure about EBay. Didn't some studio buy the rights to the A/S characters for development into films or something? Martin Goodman's grandson and a company called SP Media Group run by the producer behind Baby Geniuses revived it last year, then sent out a hysterically awful press release implying they had the rights to the original Atlas creations too. Original Atlas being, of course, Marvel. I'll believe they do anything with the properties when it happens.

To me, the missed turn opportunity with Cody was when he came back after the death of Dusty. They took him off TV for several weeks (not sure if that was what they wanted or he asked for), only to come back as the heel Stardust. I believe it was in Atlanta when he came back. I remember those fans wanted to get behind him due to him being local and with the passing of Dusty, but WWE didn't really give the fans much of an opportunity to with the way they continued with him as the heel Stardust. I think there's a difference between exploiting a death and simply acknowledging it and pivoting with a character. They didn't have to book Cody to pander or constantly bring up Dusty. But they could have turned Cody babyface and had him drop the Stardust character. Letting him be Cody Rhodes and having him make some acknowledgement of his father does not automatically equate to exploiting a death. I think much of the fanbase wanted to see him be Cody Rhodes and wanted to cheer him on. Initially, he wanted to continue on as Stardust upon his return Only because he felt ditching the gimmick at that moment would make it seem like he was cashing in on his father's death.

FTR having there first match on AEW The rule about discussing AEW show happenings in NXT threads and vice versa is still very much a rule. Don't do this again, please.

So, we're having a bit of a side discussion in the Cops thread about how everything going on right now will affect TV and movies going forward. Is that something we could have a full thread on, or is that playing too close to the fire? No.

And this is coming from the person who made the Becky is OP thread, I honestly think Charlotte's worse, and if she's not she's at a dangerous path of getting there. That was coming from someone who had an opinion and shared it. You and I are going to need to talk again very soon, I feel.

I went kinda aggressive on the Black Lives Matter stuff on my profile, that's okay right? I probably should've asked before I changed things EDIT: This is really the only online outlet I have for voicing my support, don't have Facebook anymore and hardly use Twitter. And Winnipeg is 3 hours away, so supporting in person isn't really an option for a dude who doesn't currently have a drivers license I have no issue with a BLM signature or avatar, just keep it within otherwise regular forum guidelines. And strictly to the BLM message. No protest pics, or the like. With that said, for anyone getting funny ideas, "opposing" signatures or avatars for the "other side" or whatever you want to call it will get you a permanent ban. That includes "All Lives Matter".
