The Rock is done with wrestling as he says so it must mean he don't need me the wrestling fan anymore? Seeing as this movie looks like a pile of **** hes gonna come back to fallout fans. I guess thats what wrestling fans are to some wrestlers who want to go be in the movies. Things may look grim for a pick and my supposed fanbase outside of wrestling aint noticing. What do to? Wrestling fans! They'll always love you! Right? Witch Mountain awaits! People have been saying that about Rock's movies for years now and he hasn't "ran back" to WWE yet. He doesn't owe anyone anything at this point, I don't see why people can't come to grips with that.

Why doesn't he advertise after another program on another network if he doesn't want to even connect himself to wrestling? He bought the advertisement?

I was disgusted, I'm serious. The fact that he called himself DJ yet didn't mention The Rock. Rock really disappoints me He isn't in the HOF yet, right?

People are pissed that he didn't call himself The Rock?
If anything, it'd be MORE patronizing to call himself The Rock after spending the past 2 years being Dwayne Johnson. Everyone knows he's cut his ties from wrestling, if he was really trying to pander, he'd go through his entire list of catchphrases while he was at it.

Lets see he's hosting the Kids choice awards. Has made guest staring spots on the Disney shows, and what exactly has Cena done for his movie. Johnson is getting his name out there.

but noppppe no rock at all.. just Dwayne Johnson maybe im just lame but did anyone get offended by this? man i hate the rock So if he's just dwayne johnson, why do you hate The Rock? More power to him, heck he's probably going to get many ROCKY, chants at the kids choice awards this year. USA does this with all their movies. It's smart business. Sorry to burst your bubble. Though I wish he'd say "lay the smackdown on those aliens"

This has probably been mentioned already, but it needs to be said.
Who saw the Rundown? Show of hands. Ok, now who looked at the credits? You'll notice one man gets an executive producer credit: Vince McMahon. This is not a WWE films movie, and Vince had nothing to do with it. The only reason he's in the credits is because The Rock is credited as The Rock in that movie.
You see, Vince owns the name The Rock. And every time Dwayne calls himself that, not on a WWE show at least, Vince gets paid. The advertisers didn't want to pay Vince McMahon, so he was Dwayne Johnson. It's simple, really.

He's an ACTOR now, not a wrestler. Why should he have to call himself by his wrestling name? Fine. If hes an actor now, he can GTFO our network SVU, Burn Notice, Psych, Starter Wife...Yeah these are definitely aimed at wrestling audience. I'm sorry but to claim RAW as USA's only show and wrestling fans "owning" that network is just laughable. I mean SPike Tv is the home of UFC and promotes the network around the UFC and caters towards the male demographic. USA just happens to have RAW on it, but RAW doesn't define the network. House re-runs do.

Ok, I completely understand him using his real name AND why he's advertising his movie during Raw.
Raw is (as WWE LOVES to remind us) the number 1 rated cable show on monday nights between the hours of 9 pm and 11 pm (except during football season), especially with the 18-49 audience. Now, part of that 18-49 demographic is made of parents, who watch the show WITH THEIR KIDS!!!!
This isn't Dwayne pissing off WWE fans by advertising his movie during Raw, this is Dwayne just taking advantage of the most watched show on cable television on monday nights outside of football season. The fact that it just so happens to be Raw, a show he used to be on, is just an extraneous fact that USA and Disney hope to capitalize on.

Oh there they go. There they go, every time I start talkin 'bout boxing, a white man got to pull Rocky Marciano out their ass. That's their one, that's their one. Rocky Marciano. Rocky Marciano. Let me tell you something once and for all. Rocky Marciano was good, but compared to Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano ain't excretory matter He beat Joe Louis's ass. But on topic, the DJ thing was odd for me, because I knew him as The Rock. But to me, it was no big deal. I was more confused as to why they are showing an advertisement for a kids movie at 11:15 at night.

Vince owns the name "The Rock" and probably has the cacthphrases trademarked too. I'm guessing Disney didn't want to pay the WWE to use these trademarks to promte their movie.
Dwayne Johnson also probably realizes he is better off moving on from these things.

Anyway, anyone who thinks Dwyane will somehow come crying back to the WWE and its fans like Jericho and whoever else are loopy. 2 of his last 3 movies did over $100 million and hes made well over $50 millon himself in his short acting career. If every movie he does bombs, he'll just go home to his mansion and relax. The man wants to go by his real name. If he changed his name to "The Rock", hed be branded absolutely stupid (as he would be).

John Cena feels like I do Which is funny considering how recently Cena said how he wanted to be the "Next Big Action Star" which could only be done if he stepped away from the business just like what the person he badmouthed did. It'll probably come back and haunt him like The Rock's comments about Stone Cold "taking his ball home" after Austin quit came back and bit him in the ass.

2 days later and after reading the posts, I still dont have anything good to say about that commercial, when it was aired, and what he said during it. Anyone else hate the way the rock breaks out the fake smile and laugh he does all the time now, the f***er did it ALOT during the HOF speech...
Its like hes smiling but inside hes grinding his teeth thinking
"man i gotta resort back to these idiots again., im to good for this"
flash a fake smile and that gay Uncle DJ laugh and hes gone!
Until hes got something else to chill, then its back to advertising the wrestling community

I think if Cena does follow in the rocks footsteps, Wrestling will always be #1 in Cena's life. Say what you want to about Cena but its obvious that he LOVES the WWE and will be wrestling until hes psyhically unable to Rock just wanted the perks he got from being in wrestling to take him to a better place.
I really beleive Cena bleeds WWE

I wouldn't say it bit him in the ass, Austin came back to wrestle about 9 months after Rock made that comment. Rock never walked out on WWE like Austin did, he fufilled all his commitments. It's not like anyone knew that Austin would ever be returning at that point.
