Raise your hand if you're surprised....thought so. Not the biggest Lethal fan but, their were so many blown chances with him it's sad. Sounds like what people have been saying about Samoa Joe with the blown chances.

Personally I never really saw the big deal in Lethal. He was a very good wrestler and good at imitations... but take away the imitations and he's a pretty bland guy Exactly. You can complain all that you want about TNA wasting him, or whatever, but the fact is : he has been given the ball a few times, and yet has never shown any hint of a character or a personality, aside from "I can imitate wrestling legends". Lethal is a pretty likable guy, and he's good in the ring, but to be honest, without an over-the-top gimmick, he's pretty bland, and his matches tend to be formulaic. Leaving TNA for a while, the way Daniels did, might be exactly what he needs to refresh his persona.

Will ROH take him back, or have they moved too far apart for one another?

Boo-urns. I was just starting to wonder where the hell he had disappeared to after they'd pushed him to the moon over Flair. Shame they didn't capitalize on that -- he could be right there as a sort of underdog guy in Fortune.

Terrible waste. Young, charismatic, great wrestler. He can go anywhere though so I'm glad he'll likely be more appreciated somewhere else.

I can see why he left. I mean thet pushed him and the cold turkey stop using him. Brings him back for lockdown and impact tappings to have him job. Like non of the stuff with Flair ment anything.
TNA did drop the ball big time. Because here is the guy who had everything to be the guy ti carry TNA in the future and TNA once again didn't see that. Instead they are worried about making sure the old guys stay in the ME until they leave. Because Lethal was over. He always been over for a long time. Which can't be said to everyone they are pushing.
Face it at lockdown, you saw fans carried about only Scott Steiner in a match with 5 other guys in it. So yeah lets push Crimson who is not that over. I mean in the Main angle. You have guys like Rob Terry who I don't even know why he still even around no less in the top stable. He never been that over, he still horrible in the ring. Let they want to push him over a talented over Jay Lethal? Makes no sense.
Lethal will he work no problem. I'm sure ROH will take him back. I'm sure Japan would have no problems with him going there.

He should have stuck with the impersonations. At least he was funny then.

Loved his stuff with Flair and his run as Machismo, and he's one of TNA's biggest examples of dropping the ball (as Machismo, post-Angle win, and post-saving the X Division), but when he wasn't Machismo or wasn't imitating Flair, I always thought he was bland. So if he wasn't going to do that anymore, he's probably better off in a company like ROH where is ability in the ring will be more on display.
Honestly, his overall skillset kind of reminds me of Eddie Edwards, though I'm probably the only one who thinks that. Good all around worker, but a little bland (in my eyes at least).

horrible. jay was my favorite member of the roster and I firmly believed he could have been a huge deal for TNA. why couldn't they give him a chance once instead of constantly trying to get a face AJ Styles over? if only they would have given him a shot I think he could have been money for them. I also disagree wholeheartedly that he was bland unless he was imitating someone. now I can agree if you are saying his character in TNA was bland without being an imitator, but he is not bland. I just don't think they gave him much of a chance to do anything unless he was imitating. if they really tried he could have been very over. this frustrates me, I'm going to miss Lethal. he was like AJ Styles if AJ wasn't completely devoid of charisma and wrestled slightly better. I hope he goes somewhere that will use him. him beating Kurt for the X Division title is still one of my favorite matches of the last decade.

Turn that frown upside, the money that was wasted on Lethal can now be used to sign somebody TNA fans want to see perform, like Tiffany or Ashley Massaro ;D

Yeah that win over Flair really elevated Lethal to another level.
Further proof that 90% of the time the 'rub' doesn't work in 2011.

Man, did TNA screw the pooch with him or what? He deserved so much better. It's sad to see TNA botch such a promising young talent.

At least if he quits wrestling he can say to his grand-children he was in a ring with Flair. Grandchildren: Was so great about wrestling with the lackey of the father of Aurora Rose, 15 times world entertainment champion?

Yeah that win over Flair really elevated Lethal to another level. Further proof that 90% of the time the 'rub' doesn't work in 2011. That's not the problem. The problem is they don't do anything to capitalize on it. Jay Lethal beats Ric Flair, then....randomly wins the X Division title and drops it to one of Ric Flair's lackeys. Then vanishes off TV until this happens. That? That is verbatim the exact opposite of how you make a star.

From PWInsider: TNA, you're just too much. I guess they figured that hiring Daniels back meant another TNA original had to go.

I'm not too surprised. He never got over unless he was doing the impersonations.
I wish they had kept him in the Black Machismo gimmick. He was getting mega over with that gimmick. I don't see why they couldn't let him keep it. I mean Ric Flair got his Nature Boy gimmick from Buddy Rogers.
I honestly think he could do really well in AAA or CMLL down in Mexico. Probably more so in CMLL since in AAA Konnan would just have him be a heel in his foreigner group. He can wrestle the lucha style and everything so I think he'd do fine. Jack Evans who could never get signed in WWE has done great in AAA becoming a big midcard face. He even got on AAA's video game.
Only other option I think is ROH. I honestly don't think WWE would sign him due to being too small but I'd be pleasantly surprised if they did.
WWE did sign Consequences Creed but he has quite a bit more of a build than Lehtal.
