It's TNA. Stop looking for logic in ANYTHING they do.
They could sign John Cena away from the WWE and give him a clause in his contract that he gets his own case of Pepsi before each show....so they go out and buy him some orange juice and void his contract.

If anyone would be getting Pepsi, it'd be this man.

The famous Lethal/Flair dueling promo, for your viewing pleasure (about 4 minutes in). why is the "Flair Stare" when lethal elbow drops the jacket not a meme here?

Hopefully WWE signs him and we get Lethal Consequences again.

On the plus side, he could potentially go to WWE, and in a few years, if he gets released, TNA will be all over him like white on rice.

The real shame is that supposedly they released him and he didn't leave on his own accord because they misused him.
He's a solid talent. I truly hope he goes to WWE.

You know what I don't get?...Jay Lethal gets fired...yet Kiyoshi still has a job. I'd think Kiyoshi is getting paid by NJPW since they sent him over, so no need to worry about him if you're TNA.

Wasn't Kiyoshi already released?

Wasn't Kiyoshi already released? Dunno. If so, just replace him with Okada.

Or All Japan, the company he works for. Technically TNA can't release him. They can tell All Japan they don't want him anymore.

I know people are throwing a hissy fit but let's not kid ourselves here. Jay Lethal simply isn't a main event guy, and thus about all he could do is be X Division champion. After a point the guy just got stale. That said it's jarring that Lethal of all people would be released. To me Eric Young is far more past his expiration date than Lethal.

This Sucks!
While I don't think he was a main eventer or the guy to carry the company, he was at least a good midcard - upper midcarder who should've been competing for the TV & X Titles regularly, he definitely shouldn't have been jobbing to Robbie.

Oh and apparently today is Jay Lethal's birthday.
Great birthday present............but I shouldnt be suprised with Bischoff's unsavory tactics of firing people if he got a birthday present and it was his pink slip.
